Bengals released WR Antonio Bryant and C Mike Windt.

The story is also being reported on the Bengals' official Twitter page. There were whispers that Bryant was on the chopping block, and it seems like the team opted to save $3 million and free up a roster spot rather than keep the troubled WR. Bryant will take home a cool $7 million without ever playing a down for the team. Aug. 29 - 1:14 pm et

I know Brown doesn't like to pay for scouting departments, but can't he at least pay a couple of interns to research a few things before he makes these deals? Because Antonio Bryant's chronic knee issues in Tampa Bay and Andre Smith being a fat, lazy tub of goo were pretty well documented all over the interwebs, but yet it somehow caught the Bengals by surprise.

That's the easiest $8 million he'll ever make.

All that talent wrapped up in an injury-plagued body and a two cent brain. He needs to retire now and enjoy his life.

or sign with Minnesota and get another nice paycheck since Rice is hurt, and he offers more then Javon Walker.

Soooooo,,,,,,,,,,,,,all one has to do is show up for the Bengals TC and go "OW!" ? Walk away with 8 mill?

I got some travel plans to make...................

id say he ends up in minny or STL. both need WR help i think the rams are more likely as they are pretty desperate

Just let this sink in for awhile,

Bryant just made $7mm without having to play a down. $7mm.

That's more money than 99% of the population in the world will make in their lifetime.

Simply amazing.

Funny thing is. He'll probably pull in another 3-5 mil before he calls it quits. Maybe even more than that.

And to think the average money a person with a college education could pull in their lifetime is 1.4 mil.

And he will make 7 mil doing nothing. In a period of months.

Think about it.

what I would have atleast palyed him this year since i already paid him.................bengles are dumb

I'd say he ends up in Birmingham Alabama, gettting microfracture from Dr. Andrews.

He can't even practice on those knees.

Honestly, they don't need him anyways.

Chad Ochocinco
Terrell Owens
Jordan Shipley
Andre Caldwell
Quan Cosby

The last spot should be between Dezmond Briscoe, Matt Jones, Maurice Purify, and CCU's own ;) Jerome Simpson. Not to mention, Jermaine Grisham should become a receiving threat at Tight End. I'd think the last thing that team needs to worry about is Wide Receivers.

the best year he ever had was not as good as Terry Glenn's best year. I never thought he was all that. Some here thought he was the next Irvin.

Subtract from that the $85,000 - $150,000 they'll owe in college loans. And I'm low-ballin'.

Roy is officially no longer the most overpaid wide receiver this year.
