Does anyone NOT like watching Barber play?

Even some of my Cowboy hating friends love watching Barber play.

my brother said the one of the few backs if he had to replace Adrian Peterson with would be Barber (others were LT, Turner, Bush ((hes not always smart)))

MB3 needs to let the dreads loose because he had that Predator thing going pretty good through 07'. :D

no way i have a theory that his dreads are the source of his power, remember the Greek mythology story of Samson and how his super strength was from his "golden locks" and they were cut off and he was a sally..i say keep the dreads

He just said let them loose. In 08 MBIII had them tied up most of the time. When he had the predator look going he was punishing people even in games where he got a majority of the carries (to debunk the "HES ONLY A CLOSER" screamers)

Samson is not from Greek mythology although that doesn't distract from your point.

If we want him effective for the playoffs we have to limit his carries during the season. He cannot carry the rock 300 times a season and not be all banged up.
15 carries a game max.

I agree. MBIII should play the 1st quarter (getting 6-8 carries), let Jones and Choice take quarters 2 & 3, and get MBII in FRESH for qurter 4 and wear out the D. It's that simple. And, this team should be running 30 times a game.

I hear ya and we all want to think up the best combination of carries and when he should carry.

I think the best thing is to mix it up. Dont EVER let the defense know what we are doing.

Mix and match the packages throughout the game and pour on Barber in the 4th when the defenses are tired of chasing Felix and tired of getting pounded by Barber.

I have no issue with Pierce. I respect him as a player cause the guy does play hard and he is a good player. I'm glad to see that he, like most players I'm sure, reconizes the talent of Marion Barber.

I'll tell you something else "real" about him. He was the heart and soul of the Commanders Defense and their waiver of him after the 2004 season handicapped their Defense and solidified the Giants Defense.

one of the bright spots in the playoff game against the Giants was MBIII knocing Pierce on his ***. That's probably why he respects him so much. I know a boatload of Commander fans who love Barber

no he's not. I live in ny so i see him all the time. the best thing he brings to that team is making sure everybody is where they're supposed to be. as a linebacker he's solid but nothing special.

I've been called worse....lol

but it is my opinion just as you think he is what he once was is your opinion. I just don't think he is all that anymore, and he never was at the level of a Ray Lewis.

Its Strahan and Osi that were/are the heart of that defense.

Fair enough. I don't really think you're nuts, btw. That was just the expression that came to mind.

If anything, I think Pierce is underrated, though. He's a heck of a player.

Speaking of Barber fans. I know people who don't even really follow football in general and reference Marion Barber. That's how tough and talented this guy is.

I think we are really blessed to have some good young depth behind him as well in Felix and TC. With today's NFL, it will only make Marion better and stronger to finish it out.

I don't think he's great either except at running his mouth. He's a solid player and does lead so I'll give him some light applause. Bradie is better.
