The game will likely be a defensive slugfest with a heavy ground game. Low scoring.

Both secondaries are suspect. Our OL should fair better than theirs, so I suspect there will be intense pressure on Cam. As elusive as he is, it might not break their passing game. Which leads me to believe if our unknown receiving core shows up, it could be the deciding factor.

I'm hoping for turnovers to favor us. Otherwise, this could be a last minute nail bitter.

this game can really tell us a lot about where the team is early on
Cam is one of the bigger (sic) dual-threat qbs in the league and McCaffery is about as elusive as Dallas will see

if Jaylon is able to manage his assignments it will be huge going forward. this will be an extreme challenge
if he is up to it though, you have to like his chances against other qbs like Russell and Wentz who can be tough to bring down
we haven't had the speed to contain faster threats in the past unless we used Heath (Sproles, Russell Wilson)

I think Connor will manage well enough vs speed but vs power like he will see in this game and in the nfce (game 2 vs Snacks for starters) this could make you feel better or panicked depending on the outcome. he too will face a big challenge and being a rookie we don't really know where he is (we do know he needs more time in the weight room though)

tough sledding for Zeke, similar to what he faced vs Giants with big run stuffing tackles

which brings me to the tight ends. will they make Rico active? will our tight ends block well or win vs their cover linebackers? feel pretty good about them if they do well in this game

should be a good opportunity for the receivers which is good because it gets harder vs Janoris Jenkins and Landon Collins the week after

hope Dak is 2016 Dak again but with improved passing mechanics (I think he looks much better but we will see when faced with the pressure)

I hope Anthony Brown can take that next step technique-wise and eliminate the stupid penalties. he could be so much better
this is where Kris shows us that he can take these young, skilled guys and make them into players that take the ball away when it's targeting them

Randy I hate to rely on but if he can come in on nickel packages and make an impact that's another thing we haven't had in years (threats from both ends)

I expect mistakes and it won't be perfect but if some of these things happen it will definitely help towards making the team a contender

The QB and the receivers all have something to prove this year... hopefully they help each other out.

Looney and C-Will face DTs Short and Poe. That worries me.

The WRs don't worry me. Beasley and TWill were #2 and #3 for 4 years. They have 3 new veterans and a rookie that was the star of training camp to replace Dez.

I dont feel too bad, lets be honest, witten was as smart as they come but he was limited on what he could do, and whether it was mostly dez’s fault or not on alot of misses his way, it just didnt work out. We add a plethora of tight ends to hopefully get work and hope they can bring an extra step into the passing game and then add allen hurns who isnt a slouch and michael gallup who just seems to always be targeted and has looked pretty well running his routes. (Worried about his short arming however). At the end of the day this passing game thrives on how well we run the football and as long as 21 is back there and our o line can be somewhat decent (which guys we still have 2 all pros, top of their position) we will be excellent there. In my opinion, of course.

Anxiety about our passing game?
1 day before the season starts and ya yammer anxieties????. Next time, chap, give it up sooner. I need me game-time sleep.

It's good to hear many of you are optimistic about our receiving corps. I'm by no means as pessimistic as the media about it but I have my doubts about how soon into the season they can act cohesively. Considering this is week one, the time it takes to gel may not be in our favor.

The passing game will be fine. It's the receiving game that is going to have problems.

Worried about both. If the OL doesn't hold up well it could worsen daks limited accuracy, in turn these receivers might struggle like last year. But maybe Dak can beat man coverage now.
