... A 73 Yamaha RD 350. anyone know anything about this series of bike?

This one needs some work to make it street legal again. I bought it off a farmer who traded it for some cattle feed. It has alot of pep and tends to pop wheelies all the time.

Anyone with some history on this bike?

I haven't ever worked on one but from what I have read about that bike you got quite a rocket there! They say those had no trouble dusting bikes of twice that displacement!
Nice article and a little information here:

...I just got through doing a little research on them and found they were quite a surprise.

I paid $100.00 for it, but I realize I will need to spend a considerable amount to get this machine back to street legal. The farmer's sons and daughter used it to ride through the fields and it has been dropped a few times.

There's plenty of evidence of homemade welding repairs on the frame, but I hope to get it back to shape. I like the the look of the older machines.

My 74 IronHead Sportster (aka Project Back Ache)

We acquired a basket case of parts and brought them home for a cool $900. After sorting through the parts and getting everything categorized, we had our work cut out for us. There were parts missing, A LOT of parts missing. Hardware such as engine bolts, and other misc items were not to be found. I turned to eBay and J&P Cycles for help.

The plan for the project is to make her a hard tail. The engine will remain stock, but will be freshly gone through to make sure she runs and that all the effort is not wasted.

After about 2 years of "when we can" work by my cousin and I, here's the 95% completed bike.
