to be a glass half full kind of guy, he is far too athletic to limit him to a DE rushing the passer. We do need to rush him more, but he's so athletic that he shouldnt be held back by only being a pass rusher.

put ware on de next to spears or canty at dt and start running some stunts instead of regular vanilla defensive plays. i have no doubt in my mind that he can be ATLEAST as effective as that umenyiora guy from the Giants. most likely he ends up being better than that.

but my biggest concern about switching to 43 is that our LB core might be too slow. bradie james would just straight up end up getting cut. burnett would be the man though.

what's the contract on james like anyways?

I use to disagree with that but your absolutely right. Dallas has spent too many picks on building a 3-4 defense which is why I think Dallas should bring in Philips and not Norv Turner. Spears and Canty are not strong enough to play DT. While Ware is certainly fast, he will get run over on running plays. Ferguson cannot rush the passer. Dallas has the talent to be a great defense, they just need to let the dogs off the leash. Oh and your boy Roy has to show more. Dallas is stuck with him so they just need to get used to it. Maybe Roy will come back mad next year and shed some weight.
