I can see that. More aggressively styled than a Lotus if these leaked designs are final.

It looks Ferrari inspired to me, which I definitely don't think is a bad thing. Some Corvette purists may not like it though.

Corvettes tend to have long model eras, since the 60s. In fact, since then, they've only changed body styles significantly once, and that was in what...83? Don't remember exactly, but it was around then. Since that last change, they've just made gradual changes.

Now that they've got the lines fine tuned and sexy again, I wouldn't mind if they stuck with it a few more years, but a complete body style overhaul would be okay, if it looks like what I'm seeing here.

I had a 1975 Corvette Stingray back in the 90s. I sold it when my daughter was born in 2000. Well, I'm retired now and my daughter is off to college. My wife MADE me by an new Corvette Stingray last night. If any of you have any Corvette knowledge, post it here.
I am not a Vette fan but I must crash (pun NOT intended) the thread and ask the MOST important question there is!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are the beer cup holders large enough? :p

There's a reason most mid engine performance cars have that look. Aerodynamics and cooling (brake and engine.) I believe the engineers said that they have taken the front engine/rear drive platform about as far as it can go, of course while offering a warranty.

Purist hate change. They flipped out over the C6 having fixed headlights. There have been many times in the past where GM has wanted to move the Corvette to mid engine. Im actually surprised they are. I figured they would give it another name.

I just hope my knees hold up, getting in and out!!!! Lol!!
Exactly the reason we sold both of ours in the past, including most recent, Ford Mustang Convertible GT. I've outgrown the feel to appeal. Sport utilities are the best IMO, not only for bad weather conditions, but for safety as well. And talk about comfortable. I can hop right in and out of it without gasping lol. My knees are still thanking me to this day,

Hey Coach, did I ever tell you about that one time a younger friend /associate of mine pulled into my driveway behind the wheel of a metallic green early 70's stingray
( I can't recall if it was an convertible or T-top) I do recall from that day though the wind in my once (at the time ) flowing top knot, floor boarding that 427cid in a fashion that ol' Steve McQueen hisself would've raised a quizzical eyebrow at ,,,er,,,and neither one of us in possession of a valid drivers license at the timeo_O

*I did at one time own/ drive a little 70's something opal GT
" baby vette":lmao:

** but I also owned& drove a 1959 Chevy "brookwood" stationwagon that only had 47,000 miles on it around that time, I recall walking around that chariot without ever touching the ground as the rear "horizontal wings" on the back and the 4 door handles provided ample footholds:lmao:

I really liked those old Opal GT, pretty cool little cars. The 59 Brookwood was pretty cool too, maybe not as cool as the Nomads but still did have some pretty sweet fins on it.

LoL I'd swerved off the road trying to 'tag' a wild feral house cat, hit a 40 cent concrete block in the weeds & knocked a hole in the oil filter (I was on a beer run) it was rattling & knocking in it's death rattles by the time I got back home(opel GT)
DAD& me were on the "outs" and he sold that station wagon for $25 to some kid for the demolition derby,as I'd had it stashed away back in the vines& weeds on his property, while I wasn't around
( brookwood)

Love the Corvette. I learned to drive stick shift in a brand new '79 Vette, when I was 17.

The new Stingray is one of the most beautiful cars ever created, IMO.

I agree. It is way up on my list of favorite looking cars. Just absolute perfection.

Congrats on the purchase @Ranching I miss having a sports car bad! It's in my future plans to get another one (of some kind).

I've never driven a mid-engine car personally, but, I have been told they handle so well and are a blast to drive.
Also, I love the C6 Vette.

My wife is getting a new Tahoe and I'm getting a ranch truck, so I'll be alright. Thanks for your concern. Lol
