So this is to first that year first year that I have collected disability from the VA and I still full time. How my VA disability effect my tax return
Money you get from the VA is not taxable income. How much harder do you want to make this? I'll give you specific answers to specific questions if this does not answer you question. Thank you for your service.
So when I file I have to claim that income? I can just file as I would any other year?
You only claim the income you get from your employer with the W2 they provide. The money you get from the VA is not the IRS's business, you do not report that money to them. The only VA paperwork you send to the IRS is the 1095 that you get from them. If you are military, you will get one from DFAS as well. Send that one to the IRS too. The 1095 is a new form that shows you satisfied the new Obamacare requirement to have qualifying health coverage.
