Any early SB favorites for next season?

The Eagles still have a healthy Saquon Barkley.....I'm not writing them off as division favorites.

Lions vs Bills wouldn't upset me though
Unfortunately, I think the Lions are exiting their window.

I say it's unfortunate, because I feel for Lions fans. Their best team ever was derailed by an insane injury bug.

Buffalo and Baltimore will still fail to get over the hump IMO. My sleeper team is the Chargers with one more Harbaugh offseason and draft.
It is monumentally stupid that Buffalo and Baltimore aren't doing everything possible to supercharge their defenses-- especially Buffalo.

They should be calling the Browns daily for Garrett. Calling the Cowboys daily for Parsons. Both teams are literally that close to a ring.

I think the team Philly had last season was better than any of the teams KC won championships with under Mahomes. All three of those SB wins were close with Mahomes pulling the game out. Philly had a dominant team, very similar to our 92 team. I actually thought Philly outplayed KC in their first Super Bowl but Mahomes pulled the game out. Philly made sure Mahomes wouldn’t have a chance this time around.

Eagles core is strong . Still say the Eagles. 11 of 12 starters on offesne returning. Maybe the trade Dallas Goedert ?? That's where their money is, on offense. Defense is young , has some core players at all levels, but lost CJGJ, Slay, Sweat, Graham, Williams. Howie has 20 draft picks in the next 2 years though. My feeling , it comes down to the draft this year to see if they will compete for another Superbowl this year. If not this year, they will retool like 2022, 2024. Anything less than a NFC championship with the roster as is , is a disappointment. The culture of winning goes a long way as well for continued success. Sirriani, believe it or not, is a good coach. If you think differently , just check his record the last 4 years.

Rams from the NFC. Came to within a play or two of beating a very strong Eagles team in the play offs. Young defense will be even better and they are unlikely to have the amount of injuries they endured last season. Superbowl winning QB tied down as well.

Bengals from the AFC if they can draft well/improve on defense with the new coordinator. The offense will be humming.

Had it not been for the foul weather Rams would have been blown out in that playoff game, no different than the Commanders and the Chiefs. See what happened when they played in LA. Beautiful weather, under a roof, Eagles beat the Rams by three scores.

I honestly believed that the Chiefs would be the first team to threepeat and felt that way all last season. But wow did they get exposed. You could be right, but it would take a lot to convince me of that right now.
The chiefs have a top 3 GM in Brett Veach. He will never allow his team to stand pat. They will for sure address their weaknesses. Whether they work or not is another story.

They still have one of the greatest QBs to ever play, a future HOF head coach and an outstanding defense. Write them off at your own peril.

Yep way too early for this conversation, but so far I’m leaning Ravens and Commodes. I don’t see the Eagles repeating, their depth isn’t as good and they are finally having to pay up on some salary cap stuff. The Chiefs got exposed and don’t see them rebounding. Bills maybe? yet somehow I never take them seriously. Lions might surprise but given their coaching staff raid, I’m not feeling it with them just yet. Don’t feel the Packers or Vikings either. Seattle? Please…

I pick the Commodes only because they got close and are still ahead of the salary cap woes with a good QB on a rookie contract.

But honestly, it feels like the Ravens year. With the Chiefs curse over the NFL finally done with, it’s time for another AFC powerhouse to emerge. This could be their year.

Do you have any vibes for teams this season?

P.S. - no thoughts on the Cowboys right now. Too many question marks and holes to fill right now.
Jerry will be shocked again if they aren’t in the SB this season after all the first and second round talent he added

The Chiefs shut him down because they sold out and played an eight-man front almost the entire game to stop him. Spagnola said this in an interview with Baldy. He thought the back end could hold up against Hurts and the receivers. Eagles offense scored 33 without Barkley running wild.
This is exactly what I said the Chiefs couldn't do if they wanted to win. The Chiefs had to contain Barkley without selling out. Force Hurts to throw into coverage. But I don't know if they could have contained Barkley that way.

Either way, at least we probably won't have a repeat super bowl. That's only happened once I believe.

It could be argued had it not snowed the Rams win in the play offs. The two huge turnovers happened in the 4th quarter with the snow was really coming down when both Williams and then Stafford fumbled the ball.

The Rams started off 1-4 when all banged up. They won 5 consecutive games after losing to the Eagles in the regular season.

They sacked Hurts 7 times behind the best offensive line in the snow. The rushing defense was coming of age along with an elite secondary. They need to improve their run defense as they got torched for three long rushing touchdowns which cost them against the Eagles in the play offs. I expect this to be addressed in the draft at linebacker.

I think it's folly to compare the Rams to the Commanders. The Rams defense was legit once finding it's feet whereas the Washington D was just an open sieve.

The snow did Hurts, Barkley, Smith and Brown no favors. I get we all hope the Eagles aren’t so great, but last season they beat the Packers twice, the Rams twice, the Commanders twice, and clobbered Kansas City.

Your defense sacks the opposing quarterback seven times and you lose, it’s because you’re not as good as the other team.

I'm fully on board and agree that the Eagles had a fantastic team last season. I stated in many occasions that along with Baltimore they were the best teams in the NFL although the latter bottled it against the Bills.

It's just my view that next season the Rams will turn the tables as I see them improving and the Eagles a little weaker although still more than enough to win the NFC East!
