Any FA's available to fill remaining holes?

I'm a a little concerned about the secondary to be honest with you. I would like to see some thing done there but we all know with the wave of releases in June it is possible Dallas is waiting on other things.

Chris Carr peaks my interest. He can serve as a 4th or 5th corner and help out with returns
Carr would be alright.

Off season would be so dull without the draft - nfl would begin to kill itself taking out some of the main features that make it such fun - all imo

I don't see how it would be dull: you'd have every college player in the country running back and forth between teams, new signings every day. It would be different, possibly bad for the sport, but it wouldn't be dull.

As for available free agents (depending on how active the team will be):

CB Leigh Bodden - was highly-regarded before his trade to [strike]Purgatory[/strike] Detroit last season and now looks to need to rebound. Asking price may still be too high but a few more teams passing - like New England did - may bring it down.

S Mike Brown - a roll of the dice on him staying healthy, but the guy's a playmaker when he is. Could probably be had for an incentive-based contract if a team were willing to take the risk.

LB Antwan Peek - another injury-plagued player but I would 'kick the tires' anyway and see if he can still play.

Not a bad list at all. I like the idea of going after guys with some skills who may have some health issues. Sometimes those things are chronic and sometimes it is just a string of bad breaks (no pun intended).

I really like the idea of picking up Mike Brown. IMO he is worth the risk and none of these guys are bank-breakers.

Ok maybe not dull, for me though the draft / cap elements are what drove me to be an nfl fan in the 1st place (although I disagree with the top picks pay scale system which is out of control.)

Being english I have seen what out of control pay scales have done to a soccer league which only gives a chance of winning to the same two/three teams year in and year out and it is not pretty unless you are a player

Can anyone tell me why Josh Bullocks didn't get resigned by the saints? I remember him on draft day and how alot of us wanted him. Did he get toasted alot in New Orleans?? Is his asking price too high?? I wouldn't mind dallas bringing him in to play FS. It would free up another spot to draft somewhere else.

Leigh Bodden would be a solid pickup. With Scandrick moving to nickel we are going to need depth. Also insurance for Newman or Jenkins. Hope we get him.

It looks like Edwards is out there.

He'd be an interesting option and would also allow the team to trade/release Ellis.

Yes, if we were to get Kalimba Edwards and Leigh Bodden I would think it was a offseason very well done. We'd be set for the draft!

Speaking of Free Agents, I would like to keep Carlos Polk. He was good on STs.

Considering that once the new stadium opens up, Dallas will easily be the #1 revenue team in the NFL, shouldnt we Cowboy fans want the salary cap and draft to end???

With no draft, Crabtree from TT would most likely sign with Dallas due to geographical location and of course money.

I mean, very few teams could actually compete against us for the top free agents and college players year in and year out. We would freaking dominate with no cap and no draft.

Isnt this a good thing for Dallas if we are #1 revenue team???

Not me. I happen to love the Draft and I think the Cap has been good for the game overall. I wouldn't want small market teams folding shop. We're good with 32 teams. There's balance.

When I was a child I would pretend my toy cowboys were the Dallas Cowboys and I'd use my toy indians as the Commanders. We never lost a game but it got really boring after about 30 minutes...:zzz::zzz:

Revenue is just part of the wealth. The owner of the Seahawks was a co-founder of Microsoft. The guy has tons more money that Jerry has. He was worth 16 billion in October, so the Seahawks would be able to get all premium FAs. I'm sure even with the economy he still has way more money than any team's owner.
