Season two opener premieres next Sunday. I've pretty much enjoyed the series so far. I particularly like the character 'Vasiliy Fet' (Kevin Durand). Big fan of Guillermo del Toro.

I'm thinking about giving it a shot.

Not too "zombie-like" is it?

Not Zombie...Vampire but not like normal vampire...more like the split chin ones from the Blade 2 movie.

I watched a few episodes of it and it was not bad but for some reason missed a couple of episodes and just never caught up after that.

Ohhhh... I think I saw first episode when it came out last year. If it's the show I'm thinking of I didn't like the pilot but then saw some previews of future episodes and it looked like it got better.

Like you... I never want back to it

Binge watched season 1 on hulu last weekend.

It's a good summer TV show. Wonder how much darker season two will be?

I read the books, didn't really like the direction they took overall. Too dark for my taste, and I particularly disliked the ending. Del Toro helped write them if I recall correctly. So it was essentially made for tv right from the beginning.

Edit: For me the highlight of the entire trilogy was the opening scenes when the plane was on the tarmac. That was extremely well done, but unfortunately it was all downhill from there.
