Any Given Thursday - Should the NY Jets game concern us?

Man! We just took three-straight in the NFC East. That just doesn't happen!!! WOW!!!!! So it this upcoming game the trap game? It's non-divisiona and non-conference. Do the Boys let up and fall into the trap? I just hope the Boys don't do this against such an easy oppponent. One saving grace here is that the NY Jets beat the Steelers, and I don't see a realistic chance where they take two-straight from top-five oppnents back-to-back. That's good for Dallas! Right? Also good is the national appeal of the game. With that kind of coverage I think our top-flight players will be keen on having a good national showing. Let's hope!!!!!!

Buffalo & Washington prove we cant be overlooking anyone...we could have easily lost BOTH of those games

and the Jets are not THAT bad...they've been in basically every game, save the Pats game...they nearly beat all 3 other teams in our division too

if we have the same lackluster effort we saw yesterday on defense, we could be in trouble again...and while we did score 28pts, the OL turned in a clunker performance as well...and our kick coverage teams flat out suck

I think he was a pretty significant loss...Hoyte isnt blocking anybody now, and he is a big zero as a receiving threat...Anderson seemed to be really coming on and as you mention, he was really good on the coverage units

I'm not concerned about them in particular. But I am concerned with every game we play because we could lose any one of them.

Why not? As fans all we can do is watch and hope. I get more nervous about games as a fan than I ever did as a player. I knew myself and teammates worked hard all week and always felt ready. As a fan you have no control.

fact is though we didn't.

Why is it though (and not you in particular) that when we were losing games last year and the year before but in them and could have won, you rarely saw posters saying, well we are 4-3 but easily could be 6-1 (like the way we lost to Washington and Seattle in 2005). It was, we suck, we are what our record says we are etc

Yet when we win but it was close and we could have lost, it is well we could have lost you know.

Why is that?
