Any interest in Ahmad Brooks in a supplemental draft?

Clearly Parcells probably doesn't want to deal with him, but it would be an interesting linebacker corps...

Brooks, James, Ware, Ayodele, Boiman, Ayodele, Burnett, Lawson*

Strictly from a talent standpoint, yes I would be interested.

I was just continuing the first post, should have just edited it.

I'd be really interested in seeing this depth chart next year

ware - james - ayodele - lawson
thornton - Shanle - brooks - Burnett

He won't be available in the Draft. He'd have to be taken in the Supplemental Draft in July.

He knows that, he was simply saying he doesn't want to use a draft pick for him.

But Parcells will have nothing to do with him. Jerry would probably be interested though. The dude would be a perfect fit for our system. And we would have so much depth it wouldn't be funny.

He's a thug and we don't need him on the team, no matter how talented he may be.

If Parcells friend Al Groh had to kick him off the team then I can't see parcells wanting him. Parcells will easily get to know what Brooks problem is. Plus the fact since his knee injury he plumped up like Levon Kirkland

Well now I am surprised their isn't more people on the zone that are interested in this guy. I remember last year when all everyone was talking about was how the Cowboys should get this guy when he comes out next year. It's funny how a year can change things isn't it?

It's simple, if Groh says Brooks is a good guy Parcells will draft him. He won't fall beyond the 3rd round, I imagine regardless. Getting a guy in 2006 for a 2007 pick is already half way to a steal.

Without an offseason program to get involved in, he'll weigh 300 lbs. by June.

Perfect all he has do do is gain another 30lbs and he'll make a excellent nose tackle!!!

and so will BP...

we'll see.

This is a move I could see happening with a complex explanation from BP to go along with it.

We should put in a 3rd round tender for him if we think he has the skills and Groh gives the okay to draft him to BP. Sometimes you have to make decisions for the best of the team and university even if you like the player - that may or may not be the case here.
