Any Interest In Robert Quinn?

Dan Quinn's defense is a little different than Marinelli's. Robert Quinn might could fit in a DPR role. But I wouldn't trade for him unless all it takes is a late-round pick. He's been better than the other pass rusher (Dante Fowler) that we picked up.
With his contract I wouldnt give much in picks

No. I'm talking about one of our fifths. Maybe a conditional fifth or sixth the next year. Anything more than that for an older player with a lot of wear and tear is too much. It's one of those trades that would have to be made during the draft when the Bears see someone they want, but need a pick to get him. It also will depend if we were able to address DE earlier in the draft.

Oops! Sorry. Meant to put WR.

Thanks for the correction. Sucks trying to post a message while at work and being distracted at the same time.

No problem. I am also at work and bored so I decided to nitpick because I had nothing better to do. I knew damn well you knew he was a WR. But I'm a toll collector working a midnight shift doing absolutely nothing for most of the night. I just had to point that out because I'm bored!!!

The dude is 32. Even though his cap hits wouldn't be terrible, the draft pick they'll want will probably be a 2nd. And I'm not sure how long he can keep up that pace.

This. I'd send a 5th, maybe a 4th because I think he improves the pass rush day one, but he's such a liability in the run. He's honestly a strange player statistically - always been interesting, but he gets paid and then the team realizes they're paying for sacks (whcih are great) but literally nothing else.

Yea, I am not giving up much in the way of draft capitol for a dude that old...
I wonder if his contract is reasonable?

No interest. Looking at this team's roster, if I'm spending $13M of our cap space it's not going to be on a pass rushing specialist. One of the reasons I wanted Wagner was so we can keep Parsons in that 3rd down role and he is way better at it than Quinn at this point. We have enough guys to rotate in at edge. We have other positions that we just stink at and that's where I'd spend my money and go BPA in the draft.

Yeah, he's a 3rd and long End. And since the Cowboys can't stop the run, how often are we in 3rd and long?

He has I think 3 years left, around 13M per year against the cap. And he's basically a 3rd and long player. That's bad enough. No way would I give up anything more than a 5th for him.

Gosh, 18.5 sacks just isn't that many compared to the other DE's from last year. Oh wait

Hey come on now, our total sacks from all of the DE's were 18.5. :lmao:

Actually I don't know the number, but it is close. Remove Micah numbers though. Need to cherry pick for my joke. :muttley:
