Any leather experts around here?

Does anyone know how to remove "stains" from leather? I figured there might be some real Cowboys or whatnot that know about leather saddles or boots, leather baseball gloves, etc.

The steering wheel in my Jeep has some stains that I cannot remove with over the counter stuff from Auto Zone or other car stores.

I've looked on Google, but most things that come up are just products that claim to remove dirt and stains, but I've already tried that stuff.

I figured maybe someone out there might have an "old timers" trick on how to remove dark stains from leather.

I've had good luck with Lexol...

You can also try liquid non-oily cuticle remover... NOT nail polish remover. I've had some luck with that. Dab it on and leave it over night... then wipe with a damp cloth...

Rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab will clean a lot of stains as well... including ink and other dark spots...

Be sure to use a quality leather conditioner... especially if you use the chemicals...

I just ordered one that comes from California. Trick, was it hard to install? It says that it takes about 60 minutes.

This is exactly what I needed since I cannot remove the stains. I knew I could count on my Cowboy friends!

I drive a Cherokee, had the same problem... my answer was a sheepskin steering wheel cover...
