David Sharpe and Julien Davenport look like pretty solid prospects.

The Banner kid from USC has a lot of upside but all the reports say that his weight gets out of hand.

Sharpe is likely a better option at guard than tackle. Davenport has good tools, but needs a lot of weight room work to be functionally strong enough to play in the NFL. Banner has good bloodlines (son of Lincoln Kennedy), but he's as laterally quick as a glacier.

Taylor Moton in the second round is a good option for RT. Adam Bisnowaty is a guy who can be had in the 4th that the Cowboys have shown some interest in. He needs strength work as well, but has played in an NFL style offense while at Pitt.

Any mid-rd OT is a likely candidate for the PS, which opens them up to other teams.

Why waste a pick, chance the above.... When we need so much elsewhere

Check out Conor McDermott, who can be had in later rounds. 6'8, 307lbs and athletic. He needs to gain strength and work on technique, but would be a great project if he doesn't have to start immediately.

We already have third round pick, Chaz Green & former B.C. OT Emmett Cleary vying for the RT spot. We also have Seth DeBord, a second year OT out of E. Washington, who we plucked from the Cardinals' PS. He was a 3-time FCS All-American. We must focus on pass rushers & DBs- especially corners, throughout this draft. If we do anything on offense, I'd like to see them take a WR like Robert Davis, Georgia State, or Chad Williams, Grambling State. Davis is a 6-3, 220 lb. beast who had a 4.45 40/ 41" vert/ & a 11'3" B.J. at the Combine. He showed excellent hands in the gauntlet, & interviewed well. Williams was one of the best receivers at the Senior Bowl, running crisp routes & showing great hands. At 6-1, 205, he tested a 4.37 40/ 36" vert/ & a 10' 3" B.J. with 21 reps at 225. He will have to have a REALLY good reason why he was arrested last May with a jar full of pot & a car load of guns that got him a one game suspension last year. I think that Davis, who was initially thought to be an UDFA, is rising & the team may have to trade down with their 133 into the 5th round to get him, because he'll be gone by 211. Williams, because of the gun arrest, should drop out of the draft, but may be worth a shot as an UDFA.

Banner is as slow as a dinosaur, & can be handled easily by any PR worth his salt. There is no upside for someone that slow.

Jerry Ugokwe, OT 7 rd

Strengths Good-looking on the hoof with NFL frame and length. Makes use of his long arms and big hands. Plays with good foot quickness in his initial, lateral movement. Has ability to reach three-techniques with more coaching. Athletic enough to secure, climb and locate moving targets. Displays a nasty streak and looks to finish blocks with some attitude. Can be a nuisance to pass rushers when he strikes first and locks those long arms out in pass protection. Has experience at both tackle spots. Outstanding intelligence and moldable prospect.
