Any news re those defensive coaches Dolphins want??

Haven't read anything whether or not those 3 defensive coaches that the Dolphins want are leaving the Cowboys or staying. Supposedly they were to tell the Cowboys before Jones & company left for the senior bowl. I'm assuming at least 2 of them will leave since looks like they will get promotions. Not sure any of them worth keeping if there is somebody better out there that we can hire.

I thought our DL played well this past season, esp. considering that our starting NT was injured for virtually the entire season.

Plus, I like the progress made by Canty, Ratliff, Bowen, and also Spears.

I'd like to think that's at least a part reflection on K Rodgers' coaching. I hope he stays.

As for LB and Secondary coaches, I think Wade had other preferences last season, and maybe both of those guys depart.

I hope Rogers decides to stay. Bowles and Pasqualoni can go if they wish.

Bowles has not impressed me with his work in the secondary. Other than Newman, he has not developed anyone internally forcing the Cowboys to seek help in FA. He might make a better DC than position coach, though.

I feel the same about Pasqualoni. Carpenter and Burnett were big-time players in college and they are still looking to make an impact. They have talent so maybe they are not getting the right instruction and/or motivation. Spencer needs to have an impact in 08 or coaching should be scrutinized if Pasqualoni stays.

If Bowles leaves I sure hope we call Emmitt Thomas from the Falcons. 27 years of coaching experience and would be a great addition like Ray Sherman and Hudson Houck. Attitude will be preached.

Man, with the personnel on this team, I believe that he would be a good fit. No way Wade does that though.

i've got my eye on Pagano out of SD as the LB coach - Turner hired Ron Rivera to coach inside LB last year -- i doubt he's terribly happy as half an LB coach seeing that he was a hot DC for a superbowl team the prior year. Pagano with Dat assisting him with a primary role with the inside guys?

I think if Rivera was gonna happen it would have by now. Sorry.

I think that was a bit more about the Chargers' brass being so upset that Marty let so many assistants go -- that was rumored to be part of the conflict that sent him out the door -- and less about them really wanting to keep the guy.
