Any No Mans Sky players here?

Almost picked it up on launch until i saw the deservably bad reviews.
Since then{2 years ago} among many updates and 3 major updates the game has improved quite a bit since launch.
Picked it on on Steam for half price and am enjoying myself.

I share-played this at launch, Achilles, with one of my dear PSN homies, and was utterly bored. He was mesmerized by the vastness of the game, the potential scope of it, but I couldn't get into it.

Spent about an hour with him, and it just didn't do it for me. The thought of spending 100hrs+ on a game where you might run into another gamer turned me off. Too grand in scope, at the time, for it's own good.

Anyways, I'm glad you're having fun with it, my brother. Are you running into any other gamers, or is it still planet-to-planet hopping, alone in the abyss?

I could possibly groove to it, but, I'm replaying fallout#4 & doing everything 180° degrees opposite from the first time( currently @lv12),,and kinda' knowing the map, have been hitting on new/ different chit I ain't never seen before,,, I'm really missing not having some kind of skyrim game as it is of a definitely more twisty style of 2a.m. game play,,,

Well I didn't play on launch so I cant comment on that other than what I read at the time/reviews. I do understand the 3 major updates have added quite a bit to the game. The games reviews on Steam have gone from Negative on release to 81% positive currently. I would try to explain how multiplayer works{which was just added} but this article does it a lot better. I have been playing with a friend and having fun.

Well at the time it is only us 2, the way I understand it is up to 4 can be in a group and 16 in one world{don't quote me on that last part}. Best I found that sums it up is this.
"4 Players in a party can do pretty much anything together, fight among themselves, do missions, explore etc.
The other players OUTSIDE of the 4 player group are depicted as Orbs that can only talk/chat and not attack you"

My point, Achilles, is that outside of coop, you are very unlikely to run into other users. And that was the intrigue of the game for me, running into other's colonized planets, etc.

yes don't think it is full on multiplayer like a MMO ala World of Warcraft, its more of a co-op. Still fun though.
This looks like it might be awesome but hasn't been released yet.

I might check it out but I have been looking for a new game kinda like EQ and Ultima Online. Something I can slowly progress a character with those same type of applications and actions. It would probably be on a PC I assume.
