With this Oline, Williams at RB, Lamb and GP, Dak leading them; anyone else in the playoffs better than that? maybe Eagles regarding personnel, but Hurts is purely a bus driver. If somehow we can fix this defense we could contend in the playoffs.....IF we can work around our idiot GM/owner.....never mind.

our offense isn't usually the problem though. We've had quality offenses off and on since the glory days, but I can point to 31 other defenses that are better than ours... and we haven't had a championship quality defense in decades. Jerry just doesn't think they're worth it.

this team, generally speaking doesn't have killer instincts. they tend to be the opposite. I mean key time, key drive and fergi fumbles. he did that twice or was it three times.
same with Williams. key moment and he fumbled. sanders did it against Philly first game.

we tend to pull defeat from jaws of victory and shrink.

We picked a bad year to have a terrible defense. Its wide open right now. The Rams are probably the most legitimate imo.

Just a few quibbles. One, I still think this OL has some issues that have to be addressed. And that might be the reasoning behind Schotty talking to Smith about LT. I was always pro-Smith at OG but honestly, the best OL next year might be with him at LT, Guyton at his more familiar RT spot, Steele gone and they go out and bring in a quality OG.

Eagles likely had better personnel this year which is why their new OC might be about to get shot to the sun. He did a horrendous job. But on the flipside, Lane Johnson keeps getting older and hurt and they may have had their fill of AJ Brown being a PITA. So Phily could look different next year.

The Cowboys offense usually doesn’t carry over into the postseason where better defenses are.

Last Cowboy playoff game they had 510 yards in offense and scored 32 points.
The one before that they lost a defensive struggle
The one before that they had 425 yards of offense and scored 31 points

In any case, there is a new OC since then and most of the offense has new players from those days
