They start in Vancouver in four days and the excitement is palbable. Only problem the hill where they are doing freestyle is missing snow this year due to a mild winter.

It's an El Nino year so we have been warmer than usual with temps lately up to 12-14 celcius (freezing is 0 celcius for those of who only know fahrenheit). They are trucking snow in from the interior of BC.

Whistler should be fine re snow as that is up the highway about 100km from Vancouver. Most outdoor events are there other than Freestyle skiing.

In Vancouver we have long and short track speed skating, figure skating, curling and hockey.

I have tix to three hockey games, USA-Switzerland for my son and I. Then Belarus-Finland for son, wife and I. My sister also won Latvia-Czech Republic.

The big game for me though and one which I just bought from a fan selling tix through the ticket website is Canada-Switzerland, I paid $445.00 for my ticket but it should be worth it. It's a once in a lifetime event for sure.

I wanted to see speed skating but I didn't win the draw to buy those tickets :(

Should be a fun 16 days up here.

I'm excited about it, I have always enjoyed watching the olympic games both summer and winter since I was a kid. Between the 2 I have to say I enjoy the winter games the most

Still the same old Canadian...

Can't take a joke then you want to bring up religion.

FYI, you brought all of this on yourself when people make fun of you.
