Yeah I saw that too. The one thing I want to see him do with his game is beat press better. Sounds like he recognizes that too!

Yes this is good.
Also noticed from the tweet thread yesterday, about Romo & Dez working on the slant pass / route. I always thought they should use that more. Maybe with this new foot work, and with Linehan, that can happen. it was virtually unstoppablr with Irvin. I think it be the same with Dez.
Not sure how much Linehan used that play.

I also can see Dez emerging as an emotional leader like Irvin was. This is what keeps me excited about this season, even with the disappointing news of Lee's injury.

Thank you!
Here are a few things....
  1. Lawrence was at RDE and Crawford was at LDE with the 1st unit. Selvie did not participate though
  2. McClain was covering for Melton at DT3
  3. Claiborne says he feels better than ever, is not full participant yet
  4. Romo participated and looked fine.. Also, he says he has thrown at max velocity recently with no issues...but staying with the plan
  5. Cowboys signed another OG--Tyron Green started 28 of 41 games when with Chargers. He's 28.
  6. They will let Berny and Leary battle it out
  7. Wilber started at SAM LB
  8. Carter at WIL LB
  9. Escobar was in the slot a lot

Default was Hayden running with the ones. I don't see that happening long term.

Hayden got us thru the year..my feel is he won't make the cut this year without an injury along the line. Our free agency pickups solve the depth issue quite well as far as making improvements over one season I'm satisfied.

Do you even remember the beginning of the season last year?

Ware was very good.

But by all means don't let something as small as facts get in the way of your pessimism.

yes. He had more than half of his entire 2013 sack total in the 1`st three games. .....*had 2 sacks the rest of the way. "TWO!!"

Good stuff from Linehan on personnel groupings, TE and WR sets, QBs, etc.
The Beasley groupies will like hearing that Linehan sees a role for him.
He also wants to expand on getting Escobar out there with Witten.

Scouts Eye from today:

One defensive lineman that really showed up in the team periods, was tackle Terrell McClain . His quickness off the snap was impressive. When I studied his play with the Texans, he was totally out of place playing as the nose in Wade Phillips’ 3-4 scheme.
That makes no sense because the 1-tech in this defense is basically the same as the NT in Phillips' 34.

Nice report....sounds like the multiple bodies on D are looking good. Some positive news after Lee's injury. We just have to really adopt that next man up attitude. If we have 7-8 DL that are rotating and staying fresh, I think they results are gonna be better than 3-4 good guys and a bunch of schlubs, which is what we had to start last year and then got more schlub as the year went on.

I also like Weeden and Hanie getting a lot of work. If Orton is going to act like a turd, might as well get one of these two guys ready. Weeden's arm definitely looked big league in the clips posted yesterday...pretty much on a line down the field.

That's what I thought too but figured there must be some nuance between the 3-4 NT and 1T that I didn't understand.

I hope so. It seemed to work for Seattle.
