Besides, agents use Pro Bowl selections to jack up prices during contract negotiations.

i'd vote him in over Favre.. both of them are having great years, but Romo has just been a bit better, especially down the stretch..

Favre's numbers, IMO, have been vastly superior to Romo's.

I agree that Favre is having a tougher time down the stretch but I think that more if this is because of the Vikings inability to pass protect as opposed to Favre's play. If you look at last night's game, Favre played well. 106 QBRT is not bad at all. Honestly, while I love what Romo is doing right now, I don't think I could vote him in over the other three guys.

IIRC we said the exact same thing about guys like Gurode and Romo, and were still able to sign them to fair contracts even though they had previously made the pro-bowl.

I really doubt pro-bowl appearances factor much into contract negotiations, when it comes down to final numbers.
