Tuesday marks 14 weeks into a 6-10 week injury. Surgery was on August 2nd.

He said he’s healthy but it’s all mental. I’m moving on and just signing OBJ. However, Lamb, OBJ, Gallup, JW and Brown is solid

Remember Gallimore's hyperextended elbow last year? He was supposed to be out 4-8 weeks and missed 11 or 12 too. I never trust the Cowboys injury assessments.

If your talkin about Washington, The kid is capable. When healthy. He has sneaky deceptive top end speed. He can be a pleasant surprise for us down the stretch. Im pulling for him because I know the family a bit. My son played his HS team Stamford a few years back. He is the best mannered guy u will ever meet and is very talented and versatile. Can play RB as well.

Interesting about RB. I'm a big fan of a run game based on *multiple* potential runners on the field at the same time.

If he's a two way threat, that makes him a more viable option to get on the field.

It's been about 12 weeks since his injury and I thought the expected recovery time was 8 weeks.

It was supposedly 6 - 10 weeks with that kind of injury.

Thing is, it looked bad when I saw it happen.

Washington is physically ready to go. He needs to get his mind right. I suspect he'll be activated very soon.

And . . . we have to juggle the roster and play it right. And he needs to be a team player with this injury thing. I almost feel like he might be a me guy, so he could screw up the chemistry. He cries if he doesn't play.

Any word? Yeah, he's a JAG.

Apparently, a JAG at a depth position might be a nice thing to have.

They have not activated his 3 weeks practice window yet. Possibly tomorrow or Wednesday, but don't need to make a roster move until Saturday.
If that window is not activated this week. I doubt we see him until after the T-Day game.

Guys,

hes back at practice and is off IR so hes getting ready to come back in but FO dragging it out to make sure they can make the right roster moves for upcoming games... Im betting he can be activated and play anytime, they are just waiting for the right time to make rosters moves based on depth and need.

They usually announce any official roster moves on Saturday before they release the injury report. Or so it seems most of the time.

really? what league a you are signing OBJ too, didn't know you owned a NFL team.:muttley::facepalm:

a guy currently not healthy, unsigned, and having set back his return was November now December. his salary and contract demands may outweigh his need here..washigton is ready and FO will decide when to activate him and what roster moves are needed to get this done.

this oBJ fascination smacks of ET, Jamal adams, eric berry, Von, Wagner, and other who truly would not have been smart moves.

its the bye week im sure tomorrow we will start hearing about this week's roster moves and who's at practice and who's not etc etc etc.

iM not sweating it, with Lamb , Gallup and Brown also back from injury, with rested Schultz hopefully healthy , we are fine at wr until Washington is activated, I mean running 2-3 TE sets , run heavy calls, we have enough receiving targets as of now..im hoping Turpin gets more actual routes going forward.

Why is everyone worried about a guy that barely has a dozen TD's in the NFL? He's a JAG. No better than Brown or any of the other guys. We definitely need another receiver to go with Gallup and CD. Was stupid to let Amari walk (basically) and not try get him to restructure. Dumbest move I've ever seen.
Dumbest move was not letting Cooper walk...it was not replacing him with someone of equal talent who enjoys football.

When Washington is ready and gets activated, does he move Brown out, or find a way to redshirt Tolbert?
Possibly even send McKeon back down, not sure how much McKeon is even contributing, he has only registered 1 catch for 10 yds back in week 6.
I don't know McKeons snap counts, he might be valuable blocking is why we carry 4 TEs, but that's speculation on my part.

i think it's not about catches with McKeon .. it's about his contribution as an in-line blocker.
and Cowboys are managing to get packages where all 4 TEs are in the game.
and sumthin' is working because we seem to be capturing the edges, and able to bounce runs outside more than previous.

For Pete's sake. I think there needs to be a rule if you get medically cleared and it's your decision not to play then you should not get a paycheck.

Cooper didn't want to restructure a deal he literally just signed a year before.

But that was far from the only reason he had to go.

I heard the Cowboys ordered him a new foot on Amazon with a much earlier shipping date but Stephen Jones doesn't pay for Prime....so we wait.........
