Proctor will face smaller DT's this week, maybe he should still play after Sunday's performance?

I am anxious to see Holland on this line. I doubt he grabs may opposing team jerseys from behind.

If Proctor held up against the Browns' monsters - he will do fine against anyone else. Good to see we have someone who can step up.

I'd bet money even if Holland was ready this week they would still go with Proctor because of Phillies blitzing scheme.

They want to be 100% sure the line knows where to go and Proctor will be in the right spots.

We may see him against Green Bay but I doubt seriously he plays this week.

I figure Proctor earned another start. He was much better than I expected him to be. There is time for Holland, whom I do expect to be the starter at some point. At least until Kosier is 100%. Not sure who gets the gig once both are up to speed. Kosier has more chemistry with the other 4, Holland may fit Houck's scheme better.

From what I have read, Proctor didn't play well enough to earn a starting spot. This means, at least to me, if Holland doesn't play, it has everything to do with giving Holland some more time to get upto speed. With Holland playing guard, can you imagine the size and brute strength of the interior line? I am excited about the possibilities this would create for the Dallas offense. The amount of push they are going to generate up-front would be ridiculous. Felix Jones is gonna have a rookie year to remember, when he starts taking plenty of the snaps to spell Barber in the second-half.

Thats because everyone and their mother has critiqued him.

He did a fine job make no mistake about that.

But yes I do believe Holland will play eventually and probably even play over Kosier eventually as well.

I think the decision out of Kosier/Holland will depend on how much they like pulling their Left Guard and who blocks better in space.

If the emphasis on pulling isn't that big of a deal to them for their left guard Holland will eventually start imo.

I think thats terrible logic because a 3-4 is different from a 4-3 factor in how blitz happy and I'm sure they feel he is the most glaring weakness on our O-Line.

Proctor was getting help from Gurode. Proctor, on his own, was getting pushed back. He is a person that has to be compensated for by other players on the line. Holland has 20, plus pounds on Proctor, and is known as a brute force. He isn't going to be pushed back. Most people from Denver seem to think he was their best player on the line last year, and are wondering why they gave him up.

The sooner Holland stars, the better. Considering this was a move with Hudson Houck as the OL coach, I'm ecstatic.

He had one penalty and no one allowed a sack.

Yeah, he stunk out loud. [/sarcasm off]

i'm with catch17: too much at stake to put a new guy in there. It'll be Proctor for SURE IMO.

It'll still be Procter. He's a backup O-Lineman, of course he's not perfect. He played a pretty solid game all things considered. Shaun Rogers is no joke. And to whoever hated him grabbing the jersey, at least he didn't just give up and let Romo take a big hit. He knew he was beat and tried to protect the QB. Last time I checked we didn't give up any sacks in the game, so I'd say it'll still be Procter at least for now.

The eagles aren't overpowering, the smarter player should play, because Jim Johnson is all about disguises and trickery. Don't think Holland is ready for that myself.

Yea however I think we all agree that the pass rush from a 3-4 comes from the line backers. All though Rogers is a good DT he also was double a lot. Going up against a 4-3 where there is a man lined up in front of him it because a different story.

Thanks to Gurode and the help he gave. The play Romo got hurt on, Proctor was beat by a single man. Proctor was getting pushed back plenty of times.

Also, I said he didn't play well enough to earn a starting spot. I didn't say he didn't play adequately for a back-up. The only reason he is starting next week is because Holland needs some more time. Once Holland is ready, I don't think it is a question of whether Proctor is ready to start or not. Holland will play, because he is just that much better.

Good cell phones, too!

On a more serious note, I would think that the coaches would be making that decision today or tommorrow at practice. Anybody hear anything that would suggest one way or the other?
