Watching the Jags vs. Giants game and noticing Del Rio wearing the suit.

Anybody else like coaches wearing the suits on the sideline? I personally think it's great. I thought it was dumb when they told Nolan he couldn't wear the suit before because they didn't have a license deal or whatever. Makes the coaches actually look like a coach instead of some guy who walked onto the sidelines from the stand.

He looked great ...... looked classy like a guy who used to roam our sideline

It is really nostalgic, brings back that classy look. Not all coaches are fit for it, but that hobo in NE should wear a suit.

Just picturing Parcells or Andy Reid in a suit makes me sick.

Come to think of it, just picturing Parcells or Reid pretty much does that no matter what they wear.

I dont think I am ready for Parcells in a suit.

The night he was introduced as HC of the Cowboys he wore a suit. I think he looked alright.

On some people it just looks better...on others, it doesn't. Del Rio, IMO, is a more fiery coach on occasion, but it's kinda hard to get all worked up when you are wearing a suit.

College coaches all look better wearing a suit....I don't know what it is about the NFL coaches though....just not alot of them can really get away with it.

I say Parcells wears the suit on thanksgiving! The ultimate throwback! With the hat!

Plus it'll hide his man boobs. always a plus! :laugh2:

How come coaches arent allowed to wear suits anymore???

A few years ago the NFL mandated that all coaches wear team issued clothing made by Reebok.

Last year Mike Nolan (HC of 49ers) expressed his desire to wear a suit on the sideline to honor his father. (Dick Nolan, former HC of 49ers)

This year, both Mike Nolan and Jack Del Rio are test driving the suit made by Reebok.

Thanks man, i thought the suits looked aight so i think you just might see suits by Reebok stick around. LOL i cant picture Parcells in a suit... although its probably cause i dont want to

I didn't really like Del Rio in the suit. Mike Nolan, on the other hand, looked pretty badass

From what I gathered it was that the logo's went better with the athletic style attire. Didn't like them donning a nike, starter etc., insignia on a suit. Didn't look right to some. Nolan, I believe was gonna sport a suit, like his father, when he started with the 49ers. The NFL informed him otherwise. I like the suits. Raised seeing most coaches wearing them.
If Hank Stramm could pull it off.....................
