Anybody else surprised the Packers had only 4 Probowlers?

Favre, Driver, Kampman, and Harris.

Frankly, I thought Greg Jennings (12 TDs in 12 Games) has played better than Donald Driver and I thought Charles Woodson has played MUCH better than Al Harris.

Does the 4 Probowlers for the 12-2 Packers mean that they are:

A) Over-achieving
B) They are a young team who is just emerging and they'll get their props next year.

C) They've won 16 out of their last 18 games. They are a very young team full of role players - not many superstars.

They will bring it up if they play the Cowboys and talk about how they are not "respected."

They are very similar players... both very strong run defenders that have all sorts of problems in pass coverage. Bibgy does have some upside in that this is his first year as a starter and is in his early 20's.

I am the biggest Packer fan there is but the day the Packers replace Bigby will be an improvement. He gets lost finding the ball in the air, I think I could outrun him, and his main play is tackling the WR before he catches the ball to draw a penalty.

I don;t have an opinion on Williams, but I would trade Bigby for Williams without any hesitation. The guy will not be safety for the Packers next year.

I think most Packer fans would agree that Woodson deserved to go to the Pro bowl over harris, Barnett has been a beast this year and definetly deserved to go. Other than that, Driver didn;t really deserve it. I think that Crosby deserved the pro bowl kicker over FOlk but it was a close call. A GB kicker will always be at a disadvantage because of playing in the cold at Lambeau. It doesnt mean he is any less of a kicker.

As far as the Pro Bowl goes, it is a game I never watch anymore. All star games are boring in any sport......

I dunno. Remember that Bigby is in his first year as a starter and is young. Do you remember how badly Darren Sharper sucked his first 2 1/2 years in the NFL? Sometimes you just can't tell. Bibgy is a very good run defender and his pass coverage has improved recently.

Maybe it's surprising that Barnett didn't make it over Willis, or that Driver went instead of Jennings, but no - they got about what they deserve.

I think he is more than adequate in run defense, he just doesn't have any speed. This is Bigbys third year I think. He was cut by Miami and the Jets I think. He is just too slow and has no ball awareness. I do remember Sharper when he started but even then, Sharper could run. Bigby is slow. I don't see him getting any faster. I see the Packers Aaron Rouse probably taking over for Bigby during the playoffs. He has been seeing a lot more action recently. He has a lot more ball awareness than Bigby...

I always thought that was the consensus until right before we played them and Primetime's "Al Harris is the best cover corner in the league and will shut down T.O.!!!" hype took over.

I think a lot of public opinion was formed early in the year, when everyone was still surprised to see the Packers undefeated. They looked at the team and saw Brett Favre and his merry band of no-names, and wondered how they were doing it and how long they could keep it up. Now that most of the season has been played, it's easy to see they have more than 4 Pro-Bowl worthy players on the roster.

Sorry guys, that was sarcasm based on comments made in another thread...:

True, but the response was very telling.
