Anybody feeling we should trade Micah?

I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers, and I can't imagine that trading Micah is going to be a popular opinion amongst the fanbase, but there are a couple of things to consider. First, we won’t be able to afford Micah, so after this year, he will walk in free agency. If we do manage to keep him, it will be at the expense of a supporting cast. Trading him should help us get some great draft picks, ensuring we can acquire younger, cheaper talent for the next few years. In all honesty, this team is not going to make a deep playoff run, if they make it at all, so we may as well start thinking about the future.

For whatever reason Micah has not quickly adapted to Zimmers defense or vice versa. He's a phenomenal pass rusher, even if the sacks haven't shown up yet this year. However, given what his contract will likely be, I wouldn't be against it  IF the morons in the FO can manage get the kind of draft/player haul that you are thinking he would bring.

All that said, Jerry ain't letting Micah go anywhere.

Also, if you're basing this on the idea that the defense looked good last night without him, while facing a RB at the QB position, then that is a big mistake.

Why trade a great player ....... find a coach that knows how to use him.

100% let him go. The team has played much better Defense without him. He's a great player but he can't get it going here for whatever reason.

I don't mind trading him but you a) have to have a plan to replace him and b) you have to accept the fact that you are going to lose the trade

The team beats an anemic Steelers offense(18.4 PPG, good for 26th in the league), and Parsons is no longer needed.

If some team wants to go Ricky Williams or Walker dumb, sure, entertain it.
But he's still an elite player. Season isn't dictated by 3.75 games under a new DC's vision.

Dakota. 60 million
Ceedee. 34 million
Parsons 38 million

I don't see any potential salary cap issues......not with our cap specialists

bahahhahahahahahahhahahaa..... so lets get this straight. We have played ONE WHOLE game without Micah since he arrived. We faced one of the worst pocket passing QBs in the entire league. Our defense was solid, and you jump to the conclusion that our defense plays better without Micah?

Whew, I am gad I got that off my chest and I didnt insult the OP or even use curse words. My wife would be proud of me.

what do the steelers pay for watt? How about the Niners and Bosa? How bout Crosby in Raider Land? When you have a pass rusher, you keep the pass rusher.
All the players mentioned are more than just a pass rusher.
