Anybody interested in trading 18 for 31 and 34

If rumors are true that San Fran likes Tavon Austin they might have to make that kind of trade.

if floyd, richardson and cooper are gone, then ... yes

if one of them is there... no

a difference maker in the trenches is tough to find at 18

You would not get those picks.. You would probably get 31 and a 3rd which would be 90 something.

But if Cooper/Vaccaro/Richardson/Warmack/Lane Johnson/Dion Jordan are all gone I would not be opposed to moving back a little bit

Yes.

The value is so much in favor of the 31 and 34, you almost have to take that trade. If you want to move back up, you can always use some of those assets to do so.

Draft picks are currency.

Even if the trade value chart is not perfect, this one is a no brainer. It says our 900 for 1160. Huge difference.

You could trun those same picks into the 13th pick if all went well.

In other words...no team would make this trade if they had 31 and 34. Al Davis passed away.

Could probably net Sylvester Williams and Warford. Improve both lines alot.

Yes, depending on what players have been drafted before #18. If Jonathan Cooper is off the board, I would do that trade in an instant.

IMO, this draft is stocked with really good players in the 2nd round.

Disclaimer: Jonathan Cooper is my #1 pet cat in the 2013 draft.

I'd prolly make a trade with them if it was 31, 61 and one of their 3rd rounders.

Depends on how the first 17 picks play out obviously, but yeah i would do it. After about 10 or 12 guys in this draft class there really isn't a whole lot of difference between the next 30 or so in my opinion.

If the draft started out something like this I think we would be a lot better off than if we stayed put at 18, unless someone high on our board drops.
1-Elam
2- Short
2- Frederick/Long
3- Hodges/Sio Moore
4- Best available RB

Obviously, depends on who's at 18 but yeah, I would do that trade in a minute.

With a trade like that, you could get 4 immediate starters and probably 2 guys who could start for you in a year. You could probably get two starting OLs, a starting DL, a starting Safety and possibly a starting LB as well, along with a backup RB.

Would be utterly stupid not to.

One thing seems clear though, San Fran is going to have too many picks for this draft.

They Cowboys would have to include their 3rd, 4th and 5th round picks to make the value equal out on this trade.

The third pick would probably have to be a sixth rounder instead.

I still make that deal if the aforementioned targets are gone.

You could still end up with a haul like Williams, Long and a safety or Carradine in the first two rounds. Not bad.

I have a feeling SF will want to move up higher than 18 to a get a better player. Like you said they have 15 picks and don't even have 10 holes on their entire team. We may not be able to get 31, but maybe 34 and 63. That would still give us 3 2s and a 3rd.

If they threw in their 5th it would be a fair trade.

In this case, you would never make the trade until for sure you knew your top targets would be gone at 18. And then you may end up trying to trade back into to the late 1st round anyway with the extra ammo.

I would do that as long as Jerry actually used 31 and 34 and didn't try to get cute and trade down again (see 2009)
