Anybody like Dee Ford as much as me?

I think he's the best edge rusher outside of Clown, Mack, Barr. Everyone is freaking out about our 3 tech (which is a serious need) but our DEs are pitiful too. And there are no affordable DEs in free agency, unlike DT. I'm all for trading back and getting Ford and picking up an extra third.

I think he's better as a passrusher then Clowney. Clowney is good but he's a one trick pony. Dee uses technique and has the better all around skill. He beats people different ways.Clowney is a product of ESPN playing that hit last yr 5million times.

I have not been a clowney fan at all since the beginning...I think he is talented, but shouldn't be a top 5 pick....Ford? I don't think he is currently worthy of #16, but like Martin (in a different way), he intrigues me....if they were able to trade down and pick up more pick(s), then I would be happy with Ford in the 25 - 30 range

Yea, I don't like Ford at 16 either. I want Donald or Barr or Lewan if either one falls. If those three guys are off the board, I'd trade back and get Ford in a heartbeat.

I love Lewan, but I see him going top 10...if someone like Mack ever fell, I would wet myself

Yea, I haven't even mentioned Mack because I'm sure he'll be gone, but I have Mack as by and away the best player in the entire draft. If he fell to 8 or 9, I would trade up for him. Only player in the draft I'd move up for.

I love his burst but his size scares me. He may just be a situational pass rusher for us.

I like Dee Ford.
But there's a real chance he does not even go in the 1st round, let alone at 16.

He's someone I'd love to get in a trade down

Bingo.....I don't care if he is a part-time player. Trade down and get me someone who can get to the QB. Or.....Donald in the 1st.... and trade 2nd+3rd to get back into the top of round 1 to get Ford.

I love Ford for this team. Guy has a skill in getting to the QB.

When all is said and done, he will go in The first round despite his size. People with that skill get drafted high

I think is one of those players that might drop. I have read several conflicting scouting reports. Some good, some not so good. He would offer good value in the second. I really like his attitude and Dallas needs more players with that attitude.

I disagree. His frosh and sophomore year the raw talent he showed was amazing. I think NFL teams think they can capitalize off that with coaching. And I tend to agree (look at the kid from BYU, Ansah).... ESPN is a machine though (hype machine), I would agree with you there...

I like Ford, but Clowney is going to be a beast once he becomes a student.

If ford were 2 inches taller, he's probably be a Top 20 pick. I like Ford, I just think he's more of a pass rush specialist than anything else. A bit like Bruce Irvin a few years back, and the Seahawks still aren't sure what to do with a guy that's too small to play the run but too good of a pass rusher to just stick at LB.

As far as the Clowney vs Ford comparisons, I don't think it's even close - Clowney is a much better overall player, it's just impossible to live up to the hype.

I keep hearing how bad Ford is against the run, and that he lacks strength. Too much of a one dimensional player to be picked where he's projected to go. That's what I've heard, not my opinion.
