I have been three times. It really will be a great experience for you. Be sure to go a day early and take the Stadium Tour and the Packer HOF. As far as what to do in Green Bay. Not a lot. Go to Prime Quarter Steakhouse the night before the game. It is a place where you grill your own steak around a big open pit and chit chat with other Packer fans and probalby Dallas FAns too. Brett Favre steakhouse is a pretty good place to eat. TitleTown Brewery is a converted train station restaurant wtih a lot of nostalgia.

Also be sure and check out Fuzzy Thurstons Bar. He should be there the night before the game and will chit chat with you like you are an old friend and probably tell you about the Ice Bowl.

On game day, just get as close to the stadium as you can and pull up in somebodys yard. They will probalby give you a hot dog or brat too, even if you have a Cowboy jersey on. Nice people. Go to StadiumView across from the stadium for a lot of pregame hype. And don't forget to go around the stadium before the game and visit wtih the tailgaters. Even Cowboy fans will be treated niceley and you will be asked to enjoy their food and drink.

And if you just want an ol greasy hamburger, one of the best ones is across the street from the Stadium in a restaurant called Krolls. A lot of Packer Historic photos are on the wall, and is a fun place to visit. Waitresses leave a lot to be desired but the burger is awesome. Been there every trip.

I am jealous. Would love to be there that weekend....Havent been in three yrs.

My son is a big Bucs fan and after a trip there a few yeas ago he said, "Dad, it is more fun to watch the Bucs lose at Lambeau than it is to watch them win at Raymond James"

Cool! Thanks for the info man.

I'm going on that Maximum Sports package that's offered on the Cowboys' website. Looking forward to it.

one thing I forgot to mention is that if you want tea with your meal. Be sure and specify ICE tea. Ordered a burger and tea at Krolls and the friggen waitress brought me a boiling cup of water with a tea pack. I said what is that. she said, "I tought you ordeared teeeee??" I told her I was from the south and I wanted Iced TEa. And you can forget anybody having Sweet Iced Tea.....

It is a whole different world up north. And they think people in the South talk funny. Those people luv their vowels. Green Bay is not Green Bay. It is Greeeeeeennnnn Baaaaaaayy.

I avoid the state of Wisconsin like the plague.

If you do go, make sure to stop at the Bong Recreation Area, maybe the only place in the state that doesnt completely and totally suck.

I've been there, but not for a game....for the tour and stuff... you get a good sense of history there and its pretty cool. I wore my Emmitt jersey that day, IIRC.... I caught some good natured jabs for it.... but it was all in good fun.

I will say this... from my experience, Packer fans have extremely friendly and classy fans. There probably isn't a better group of fans as a whole in terms of friendliness/etc.

Even the ones who are ****-faced are willing to talk pleasantly about football with you.... its kind of weird, actually.

Been there twice. Wore shorts both times and got sunburned once.

It is a great atmosphere for a football game. People are friendly and they like to drink. The only time I've met a Packers fan I couldn't stand was in Dallas last year for Packers/Cowboys.

Not a whole lot to do in GB although there are plenty of good drinking establishments and there is a casino nearby.

The Packers HOF is definitely worth visiting as well.

....

I went to a Monday Night Game in November a few years ago against the DOlpbins. It was 17 degrees outside. I was so cold I just could not get warm and I had a Nanook from the North Jacket I had bought from Dillards just for that trip. (have not worn it since) There were a couple of Dolphin fans in front of us that just had a short sleeve Dan Marino jersey. they were going to act tough. by the end of the night there were pouring hot coffee on their hands and rubbing it on their arms, face and legs to get warm. Felt sorry for those dolts......

I thought it was kind of funny that I got sunburned at the "Frozen Tundra".

But, yes, it can get a little chilly in the winter. 17 is balmy though. ;)

My wife's from Minnesota, so I've actually been to Wis. several times -- beautiful state IMO...in the summer! Never been to GB though. Looking forward to the trip. :)
