Eagles | Bloom has a torn hamstring
Sat, 22 Jul 2006 06:22:20 -0700
Bob Brookover, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reports Philadelphia Eagles rookie WR/PR Jeremy Bloom (hamstring) has a torn hamstring. Bloom is the most seriously injured of the three players the Eagles have placed on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list. Bloom explained the chronology of the problem. "I did it in the first minicamp, and then I came back and did it again," Bloom said. "I thought it was just a matter of getting into football shape, but when it happened again in Arizona, I knew something wasn't right." The injury happened again earlier this month while Bloom was working out with QB Donovan McNabb in Phoenix. It's possible he could end up on Injured Reserve and be out for the season.

looks like the bad luck has already begun for the iggles

I read about this earlier. IMO, Bloom will have some problems anyway. He has been away from the game so long I felt his impact would be minimal at best.

Hey, Phoenix-Talon,

Won't Bloom's inability to play affect their Team....Chemistry?

I'd call that bad luck for Jeremy Bloom, not the eagles.

that really sucks....torn hammy is no good, esp for a guy who's calling card is pure speed.
I didn't think he'd be terribly effective even as a KR but I hate to see it happen to him, even though he's on a rival team. I didn't think he'd ever contribute at WR, not even in Philthy and their bad WR corps.

I remember people from Colorado saying that he ran something around a 4.2...but didn't he end up running a 4.5+ at the combine?
