He said they are the team to beat and along with the Cowboys are playing the best ball in the NFC....I agree and thought because they beat us head up that they get home field if we face them in the championship: big IF I know....but then someone else on here said we have homefield over them in that scenario...what's the deal?

we are the 3rd seed, they are 5th. There is no way they can host a playoff game unless they end up facing the eagles in the nfc championship.

I totally agree -- the Packer's offensive numbers are off the charts and their defense is very good. Their weakness (see the Pittsburg game) is against teams that have good #3 and #4 receivers -- the Packers lost their #2, #4, and #5 CB to IR during the season and their replacement nickle and dimes backs are awful.

I think the packers are outstanding and if we get this monkey off our back saturday night, I wouldnt be shocked at all to be sitting here in 3 weeks getting read for a packers cowboys nfc championship game.

that team like us, has been through alot of crap. They have played in the playoffs and they have alot of good players.

I think they are really good.

GOOD news about us playing at home in that scenario!!!!! Thanks guys: the more I think about it, the more they mirror our team really. I missed the obvious fact we are division winner and that trumps them beating us earlier, even though we both have 11-5 records: duh on my part. But yeah, they are rugged and ready for sure IMO.

One more question: if we beat philly and the pack beats the cards, then we play at minny and the pack plays at n.orleans correct? (I really use to know all this stuff, including tie breakers but middle age and kids have dulled my senses) I'm assuming that's correct because N.orleans is #1 seed and they play the lowest seed and minny would then host us right?

What's it going to be then, eh?

I am not very concerned about the Packers. I don't think they make it past the Cardinals to be truthful. It is a poor matchup if the Cardinals can keep Warner upright.

I look forward to meeting the Packers again. In truth, that win kinda stuck in my craw. I didn't think we showed them enough respect and got what we deserved. However, I would like another crack at them.

I don't know how anybody can say that the Packers are hotter or playing better football than the Cowboys right now. Back to back divisional shutouts and beat a 13-0 team before that. Rodgers has been great but Romo is the hottest QB in the league...plus other than the Cowboys the Packers haven't beaten a good team until yesterday if I'm not mistaken.

If dallas faces GB at any point the game will be played in Arlington. Dallas is a 3 seed division winner while GB is a wildcard team

Yes, I believe the Packers would be a team I would be concerned about.

However, I would like to see the Packers take out the New Orleans Saints as I would rather play Green Bay in Dallas then New Orleans in the Superdome.

Green Bay would have to come to Dallas... We all know their track record in Texas. :muttley:

Lets knock off the Beagles first, but I agree with the above.

They're a good team, no doubt, but their defense has shown, at times, to be very vunerable. It was just a couple weeks ago that they were allowing Big Ben to put up 500 yards passing on their defense.

They're scary cause their offense is so good.

The packers scare me more than anyone else in the NFC right now.

The Packers are a good team and deserve where they are, however in our loss we were not playing lights out like we are now.

unless my math is wrong, the only way we will play the Packers again will be in the NFC champpionship game.

I think the Pack looks great and picked them to win their division, if Dallas can't get their, I'd love to see a Packers/Vikings championship

The Packers have their O-line taken care of now. Early in the season it was their glaring weakness and lost them a lot of games, including the two against the Vikings where the Vikings defensive front just destroyed em. It'd be a great matchup. I for one like the challenge and hope these two teams meet in the NFC Championship. There'd be a lot of glory in winning that one.

:starspin

Also, Charles Woodson was injured against Arizona yesterday. I haven't heard anything on the extent of his injury but he may not be playing by the time the Cowboys and Packers might encounter eachother.

If you guys don't make it to the superbowl it will be because of the Packers or Cardinals. Both have complete teams and match up well with the Cowboys.

I fully expect the Vikings and Saints to be one and done.
