I don't rememeber there being one of these ever in the past. What's the point?

And if that weren't odd enough, he was quite telling during it.
Why?
JJ is no idiot and certainly doesn't share information of this nature freely without a motive.
What do you suppose was the purpose of this?
To let other teams know we wanna trade up?

Exactly. Infact I wouldn't be surprised if the League asked the teams to somewhat promote the draft on a local level. This is big time advertisement, Big bucks:money: :money:

And we learned exactly what--he might trade up to grab a wow player, he might trade down to pick up an extra first day pick, he might stay at #22, he hasn't taken Meriweather off our draft board, maybe we draft a QB in the 3rd round, etc. I certainly learned a lot--forgive me if I haven't figured out just what it is. But I do think JJ is all over the board and if I'm another GM maybe I just give JJ a call to see what he's thinking.

Not really. Jerry likes to be in the news and I think he wants to wheel and deal in this draft. What better way to get the word out and the speculation going than to hold a PC and basically not say anything?

IMO, when you look at it, he answered direct questions. He didn't just throw that info out there, he responded to a series of questions designed to lead him to some form of that answer.

We didn't do it before BP was here either so I don't think BP has/had anything to do with it.

If Peterson or Ginn can't be had via trade here is your deal.......

Why would ANYONE trade UP for Ginn? The dude isn't even worth a first round pick, much less trading UP for him in the first.

Ginn can help us right now in the return game and help stabalize the WR for the future. OSU has some reputable WR's. And his dad was his coach. Yes I will trade up for Ginn.
