I never got to see my beard's real color. I went clean shaven for so many years that when I finally grew a beard, most of it was grey. So I dye it. The stuff I use works pretty well, except that whiskers on my chin always turn light or even full-on grey quickly, so I have to touch them up. I even had to do so today after having done a full dye job. It was only a couple hours after the full dye job that the chin whiskers already looked lighter. So I did a touch-up of just that area, and now it's fine.

It makes me wonder if there's something better than this Just For Men Beard and Mustache stuff. Maybe someone here uses something better. Or maybe there's some kind of hack that I don't know to make sure that chin area gets a proper amount of color.

I'm not ready to accept a grey beard. I could of course just shave it off, but I've grown to like having a beard.

Yep. I use a temp that washes out in 48 hours. The permanent one has so harsh chemicals it burns my chin.

Elegance Temporary Hair color. ;)

Not everyone has a beard so let's re-phrase the question to include everyone :
has anyone of you dye his or her hair( color) full or partial?

Embrace the grey.....the only problem I have is the occasional grey whisker likes to grown straight out and quickly. My wife typically plucks it when I'm not looking...ha

I usually just cut open a black ink pen and use that. But I work in the chemical industry and we must be clean shaven. So I look like an idiot sometimes walking around with ink on my face.

I'm not ready to embrace it. I went clean shaving so long that I never got to see my natural beard color. So I'm dyeing it to my best educated guess as to what it would have been. I only have a smidgen of grey hair at my temples, but my beard has a lot of grey. So I'm not accepting a grey beard until I'm good and ready.

Nope. My hair is grey. Been that way for years that started when I was a teen with random white hairs showing up that just increased over time. Up until a few years ago, my beard was full red (oddly enough my hair on top of my head used to be brown). Now my beard is a mix of red and white/grey. I see no reason to dye either one.

I have tried both the gradual and the one and done.

IF you do decide to do it.
Use the one that does the gradual change.
You can use it in the shower. Put it in, let it sit for a bit while showering, rinse off.
Keep doing that each shower and it will gradually dye your beard.
It's so gradual that most people that see you on a daily basis do not notice until you bring it up.

If you do the regular dye it will be a big change and sometimes the ones that say brown or dark brown wind up really being black.

Now I just leave it the color it is.
