Outside of a couple of bad bounces the Cowboys played a pretty decent game before it got out of hand in the 4th quarter.

It's just so up and down with this team that I really don't care to debate on what they are, who is good, or whatever else kind of arguments there are.

The team is so up and down it's unreal.

The same player you hate today could look like an All Pro the next week.

I think 1 positive from last night is we saw the coaches FINALLY simplify all the pre-snap garbage and sure enough the penalties went with it. It's sad how obvious that was to many of us on Cowboyszone and took us years to finally correct.

Im just emotionally detached from this team right now and on a morning rant that im barely awake for. I hope we do well the rest of the season but i'm not going to be shocked either way.

All I can say is I hate Garrett with a passion. The way Ryan had to force him to throw the flag was pathetic.

I'm giving Garrett the full year to see what he does. I personally think he just doesn't get it, but i'll let him sink his own ship before I pile on.

Pfft..

Garrett has had his time. No more excuses.

I am not bored with this. I am fed up with it. But, like you get angry with your kids. You still love em and want them around. :lmao2:

That's how I have felt about the Cowboys the past 10 yrs.

Cynicism is how I would put it. For me it hit after the Seattle game. The team was following the same pattern of "win big, then lose big" that they have shown us the last few years.

From my layman eyes, it appears that there are two major flaws in this organization. First, the general manager is terrible at evaluating team needs. Not properly addressing the o-line in of season is a primary example. Second, the head coach appears to be in over his head when comes to preparing this team for game day and in game day coaching. Additionally, the head coach may also lack the ability to gauge talent or has little to no say in the acquisition talent. The latter would be the most troubling and I fear is the most likely case in Dallas.

My only hope is that I am wrong and Garrett does have a major say in the talent acquisition. With that scenario there is hope that Jerry could replace Garrett with someone more competent at the job. The sad truth for me is this last scenario seems unlikely. Unless an anomaly like Bill Parcells comes around, this team is headed for more of the same.

This post pretty much sums up exactly how I feel. We moved the ball with regularity early in the game, but came away with zero points. Anybody that has watched this team in years past knew that it was only a matter of time before things went bad.

He has already sunk his own ship, he has proven nothing that would make any reasonable person believe that he is capable of being a good coach.

It'll never change under the current culture. Front office needs to be over hauled and major changes to the coaching staff.

Yeah I'm bored with this, but we might as well get used to it. As long as Jerry Jones runs this team this is the way it's going to be.

I'm bored with the whole "we need/will get better crap"

Well guess what? It ain't getting better! :bang2:

I would like to believe Garrett didn't know about the tip rule. The problem is, the last game there was a major questionable spot and he just stood there then, too.

And maybe this is nitpicking, but the claiborne play was our last hope to get back into the game, at least show some fire and give walt coleman a piece of your mind, there wasn't inconclusive evidence enough to overturn it. At least show some anger at something.

There were actually some positives in the game. Unforetunately they will be overshadowed by the mistakes that we've seen all to often. There are times when it seems like this bunch is absolutely snake bitten. How often do you see a team create a turnover and not only give it back, but do so in the fashion that it results in an opposing touchdown. If there's a such thing as dumb luck, we've got it and have it for a while now.

Like scipio has said, we are incredibly stale.

This is why I wanted an entire new coaching staff when the team quit in 2010. These players need new sets of eyes from the outside who one, are unbiased and can judge them objectively and two, can put some fear and uncertainty in the ones who remain.

Instead, we blamed every single thing on Wade and acted like moving him alone would fix everything. That was never realistic.

I wanted a new staff too. I hope we're wrong about Garrett.

And it wasn't even so much about him being terrible. It's more about players sometimes needing a fresh voice, a fresh perspective. Those offensive players are going on six years of Garrett's same system, same messages, same everything. That's a long time in NFL terms to be hearing the same old thing.

I honestly felt that not one coach should have kept their job based on how the team had failed on both sides of the ball at that time. The results warranted a full house cleaning. Jerry unforetunately sent a mixed message by keeping Garrett.
