How many of you are not watching the game this Sunday at 4est due to xmas eve plans? I know with my family, we will go to early mass and then out to dinner so I will absolutely miss all of it. I have spectrum streaming so can't even record to watch and when we get home from dinner have magic family time with the 3,7,9 year olds....needless to say, I am going to have to bypass this week due to scheduling.

Hopefully they get the win but curious how many of you are in the same predicament I am in and what you are doing to be able to watch later without knowing how it unfolded?

(PS this thread is not about not watching bc I don't want to or bc trying to make some dumb statement, so lets not make it about that please)

I will be watching. Even when I was married and our son was younger. Plans would have been made around the ball game.
Just like now, if my son and his family comes over and a game is on. They know where to find me.
This is me and my family to a T. My wife's side of the family are not into football at all, yet they still know (in season) to plan events accordingly around Sunday. lol Hey, I only get a guaranteed 17 games a season.

Unfortunately this upcoming game, I might be in transit between family places, so will have to be creative on catching the game.

I’m probably not going to watch either. At least not live. Faith and family are higher on my list of priorities.

Well you are a fake fan who hates Dak Prescott and trolls this forum and roots for the Eagles!

Now that I got that out of the way, I feel your pain. I am fortunate enough to be able to watch this up and coming Cowboys vs Miami game and for the most part I usually try and work my schedule around the Cowboy games.
It always doesn't work out though. I remember in 1992 when the Cowboys played the 49ers in the Championship at Candlestick park, I had to go to my aunt and uncle's 50 Anniversary party and I missed the entire game. I taped it on an old VCR but watching the game on VCR after the fact, especially after knowing what the finale score was just not the same. If you can some how watch the game on your DVR and not know the results prior and during the game than you should be good to go.

I missed last week's game to watch my daughter star in "The Nutcracker" for the Oakland Ballet Company. Christmas comes every year, the Cowboys play 20 times a year.. my daughter's first principal role as a professional will only happen once. I would have skipped the Super Bowl for that. In terms of recording though.. I strongly suggest you get yourself an Amazon Firestick and an HDMI capture stick, plug them both into your computer and record the game there. Then at least you can go watch it a little later. Oh and my daughter was absolutely amazing in her performance by the way.. I damn near cried!!

why don't wanna rub it in but my entire family's are Cowboys fans; brother ,sisters, brother in laws, pretty much everyone..

I mean we have a few haters that don't like a few players you know like that number four guy have another brother-in-law that didn't like Tony Romo but for the most part my whole family who's coming to my house Christmas Eve 3:00 PM for our festivities are all gonna be rooting for the Cowboys and we will be watching as we do at every family function...

But they better win because I hate to mess the mood of Christmas up with a loss especially if it looks anything like last week we cannot have that I can probably accept a one point loss something close highly competitive but no way I can live with miserable looking game like we saw last week

the only games I've ever missed since 1980 either on TV or otherwise is when I don't have coverage of some sort like it's blacked out or I don't have cell coverage or Wi-Fi it's usually the last game of the year when I take a vacation or a trip and I'm on an airplane or a bus or a combination of both and can't catch the game but I try hard even if I can't watch it I'm looking at live updates you know like on Bleacher Report in other places on your phone you can follow the game close enough it's not the same as watching but then you can rewatch it later..

But I hate missing games... Just do some super secret phone checking just keep up with the score you can look at like you know the tracker for the series they show each play what happened the punts like I use Bleacher Report for that and the app you open it you click the game that you wanna follow and it kinda follows along with the game somewhat although it's a little behind it's at least keeps you up to date with the game even if you can't watch it..
