I'm excited. I'm a fan of the SEA team, too (though I have no 'second' teams and disagree that they're the opposite of the Cowboys). I'm also curious to see how the refs enforce the defensive holding penalties here in the regular season.

I'm expecting the Seahawks to win this one fairly handily at home, but you never know in week 1.

Green Bay is a media darling so I'm gonna love watching Seattle KO them and Rodgers in the first half.

Seattle has become almost like a 2nd team to me, in my eyes they are exactly what the NFL does not want. I hope they crush the packers 24-0 and show the world what real defense is all about.

What is really sad, is that the Seahawks are the exact opposite team of the Cowboys.

Great post for a Seahawks board. And nice shot at our team.

Well there not really my second team but you get my gist.

I know what you mean. I just don't want anybody throwing '2nd team' back at me later. :)

I've always liked SEA, going back to the Krieg/Zorn days. "Krieg' is 'war' in German, and 'zorn' is 'anger.' I always thought it was cool that they had QBs named Anger and War. Such things impress young boys growing up. Right now, I love the way they play football. Going back to how badly they spanked us the year before last. I was blown away by them when we played, because I thought we had a pretty good team going into that game, and they dismantled us.

I also like that they thwart the 49ers, since I'm a Cowboy fan living in the Bay Area.

IIRC we gifted them about three turnovers.

If there is such a thing as a 2nd team for a fan, then Green Bay is mine. My GF is a GB fan so I've watched a lot of their games over the years.

Green Bay should be good on offense. They now have a legit RB with Lacy.

I like the Packers.

If DBs are allowed to be aggressive, then these offenses wouldn't be putting up 300 yard passing games on the regular. Back when the Counwboys were dominant, K-Gun and Run-and-Shoot "spread" offenses would get destroyed by decent, let alone decent defenses.

The rules this year have opened it up for the offenses even more. Seattle may have a difficult time adjusting. They will still be a top team though.

Maybe I'm just old school but I enjoy watching a team that plays defense and run the ball. I miss the days of when a DB or LB can hit the receiver hard when they come across the middle.

Read about the last time these two teams played - the Fail Mary game.

One mind boggling thing that jumped out was that Seattle sacked Aaron Rodgers 8 times in the 1st half of the game. 8 times in a half!

Even more mind boggling was that the Packers were winning the game right up to the last "Fail Mary" play.

Yeah, Id say im pretty excited. I just got a local to accept a future bet on the seahawks to win the super bowl at 6 to 1...so I have some pretty good interest in all the seahawks games this season.

I believe R Wilson will be the most improved qb in the league this season. If that happens, the rest of the league doesnt stand much of a chance

If Russell Wilson improves measurably then the league IS in trouble. He is already a career 100 QB rating guy -- and their WR/TE corp has been only been fair to middling over the two years he has been there.

I think in the past I would be super excited and would watch all the college games and pro games I could.

Now it seems like that has been greatly reduced.

I will pass on watching the bulk of the pro and college games and only zero in on a few (other than Cowboys and Mountaineers) that might seem interesting.

I have been getting to the same point since mid-2012 season.

Not sure what happened.

I do have some health issues going on in my family that make football seem trivial.

I used to blow all of Sunday watching the early game, the late game, and the Sunday night game. As my kids started to get older (ie not babies anymore) I started to feel pretty guilty about the whole thing and have scaled back to just watching a single Sunday game.

Truth be told - Autumn is quite glorious here in the part of Michigan I live in and to coop myself up all day in the house on one of my two day off just became nuts.

Can't stand Russell Wilson. Or Seattle. Hope GB wins 1 trillion to zero.
