I know. I know. It is only preseason, but I do not care. It will be the first time I see the Cowboys play since...well that awful game against the rams (couldn't get the seahawks game where I live).

I know it is the weekend, but Monday can not come soon enough. Anyone else as excited as I am? I feel like a little kid at christmas...I am pathetic.

I admit, I'm a little let down that we won't see TO in action. I was hoping this would be the first game with Bledsoe, Witten/Fasano, Glenn/TO playing a quarter. Really wanted to see what kind of potential offense we had.

I guess I'm one of the few who will not be disappointed not seeing Owens play in a preseason game. He was signed as a true offensive weapon and the #1 go-to receiver, so everyone knows what he brings to the table. Instead, we'll have the opportunity to see how well Bledsoe can use Hurd and Fasano as alternative targets, since their playing time should be increased with Owens sitting out. The few series which Bledsoe will play will preview how well the starting quarterback can use his other receiving weapons if Owens isn't available during a regular season game.

I'm pumped any time our Cowboys are on the field.

The only difference will be when the games count. Then the adrenaline will be pumping, heart will be pounding with every play, and will be screaming at the TV like I have some kind of control over the game from my living room. :starspin

I'M ALWAYS PUMPED TO SEE DA BOYS PLAY!!!!!!!!!!! too bad T.O wont be playing

the Boys D v. Reggie Bush will be a key.... if the Boys can stop him from running around then they should be able to handle any speed back in the NFL... including week 1 and Mr. Jones (Drew)!!!

I have been talking trash to all my new orleans friends all week long about how we will welcome reggie to the league properly.

Good luck. Trash talk always comes back to haunt me. Hope the same doesn't happen to you.

With Crayton nursing another injury, and T.O. pouting, Rector and Hurd will have to rise to the occasion. Sean will be gunning for Bill on this one.

I didn't think about it like that, it is a very good point. I imagine there will be some rust since he has not played in a game in some time. I expect he will do very well without Owens though...even though I am sure he will still hold the ball entirely too long.

There are some sure things in life...

Taxes.

And Bledsoe holding onto the ball way too long. :banghead:

I have a friend who is a big Saints fan also (I am seriously re-evaluating our friendship). We bet a 24 for the regular season game, pre-season is just for bragging until the regular season game happens. I hope we win both so I can make him cry more than he did when Carney missed that PAT in 2003. The one that would have tied the game, kept them alive in the playoff hunt, after the saints returned a kick for a touchdown with seconds left in the game.
