I have enthusiasm for this team for the first time in a LONG time..can't wait for the game on Sunday! (don't care about 2-7 right now: I feel like we're 1-0)

Im excited too. I just wish we weren't in such a hole that we can't afford to lose another game.

I mean if we could've just beat Chicago and Jacksonville @ HOME! UGHHH

Oh well. It happened for a reason and got Wade out of here.

I agree Catch 17....I'd love to have the Chicago, Washington and Minny games replayed now. But what's done is done...onward and upward I guess.

I really hope we dont get a role and screw ourselves come draftime. 5-11 does nothing but puts us in the #8-#10 spot, leaving us without an elite player like Peterson

.....when the bullets started flying yesterday: I wanted that game BAD. I think this team needs to get confidence, learn how to win again and go balls out. Screw the draft.:starspin

Next year the difference between 2-14 and 5-11 is nothing but numbers, and the addition of two elite players.

It's been said on here before and I'll say it again: A 7-8 game win streak will do more for your team than a draft pick ever will.

Yours is a loser's mentality, kid.

True, but if we go on a 7-8 win run, will we make anymore major changes? Will Gurode and Davis be replaced? Will Ball/Sensabaugh be replaced?

Besides, when was the last time people in the top 5 didn't want to trade down. When the salary cap comes back, that's another huge contract to fit under the cap.

I want wins. Fighters, that's what this team needs. These next 7 are going to tell us a lot about the kinds of guys we have. It's like everybody is getting playoff pressure kinds of experience.

Don't care about the kids mentality, but what is the probablilty of a 7-8 game winning streak? I'd bet about zero, because those frequently don't happen in the NFL.

I want to see the team improve in its fundamentals and toughness. If that happens, win or lose, the team is moving in the right direction.

we'll probably win 3 or 4 more games...we still have major problems. 5-11 gets us plenty of help in the draft IMO

I wish we play Detroit everyday.

I like for us to win but for now I just want the team to play hard and smart and show that they are getting better and haven't quit.

I'm not of the opinion that Gurode needs to be replaced. He's a solid center. Davis will go no matter how we finish the season. His contract doesn't match his productivity.

I don't think that the safety position will go untouched, either. Sensy, or Ball, or both will be gone next year and I don' think it will have anything to do with a win streak. Jerry's tried to go cheap at that position and I think he realizes that it just won't work. There's still hope for guys like Church and Ansah, though. With a different approach to fundamentals either, or both could be fine additions to the secondary. Too many things unseen before the end of the year before definitive decisions need to be made. But, you can count on one thing, MANY things will change on this club next season. With or without a win streak or Garrett at the helm, business as usual is going to look a bit different.

Improbable? Absolutely. Impossible? Not even close. I'm not one of that was ranting and raving last week that the talent on this team is overrated. I think some fans expectations are unrealistic at times and the only ones who overrated the talent on the team is themselves. BUT, this team does have as much talent from the top of the roster to the bottom as any in the league.

Will they go on a 7-8 game win streak? The odds are stacked against it. Do they have the talent to do so? Abso-freaking-lutely. Do they have the mental fortitude to do so? That's the million dollar question.

What we saw last night WAS an improvement in fundamentals and toughness. If it carries on through the end of the season we have just as much of a chance to go 7-1 through the last 8 games as we did to go 1-7 through the first 8 games.

This team wasn't getting blown out because they weren't talented enough to win. They were getting beat because they weren't being PREPARED to win.
