I'm all for players getting suspended for major infractions. Pac-Man Jones and Chris Henry deserve what they get.
What I don't like is how players can have no contact with their team during their suspensions.
What a player needs during a suspension (especially for drug use) is a family. The last thing they need is to go back to any friends that weren't exactly the greatest influences on them.
I say, let them meet with their teammates. Keep their pay, but allow them to at least have the support of the place that employs them.
Maybe I'm missing something....Maybe someone can fill me in on why a player is totally shut off fromtheir team.
