For Shawn Springs? Given his dad's condition, the fact that he got owned and then berated by his coach?

Watched some old Cowboys/Skins game last night with Ron running hard for our team, a true Cowboy.

He went against the family and signed with the enemy. I couldn't give 2 craps about him! I hope he sucks even worse next week!

As a person not in a skins uni I feel bad for what he is going through with his father.

As a person I have compassion for what he's going through with his Dad because Ron Springs was a true Cowboy, but when he's on the field wearing that putrid Deadskins uniform he is the enemy and I want to beat him to the point of humiliation.

(Like T.O. did to him tonight)

For Shawn Springs?

Not one bit. It's Ron who is in the coma, not Shawn. And Ron was a Cowboy so he deserved to have HIS team win the game.

Putting football aside, I feel only bad for him as a son hoping his father will pull through. But other then that, he chose to wear those colors.

This is from ESPN.com:

Commanders cornerback Shawn Springs, who was beaten on several of Owens' touchdowns, said he was overcome by emotion during warmups because he was thinking about his father, former Cowboys running back Ron Springs, who is comatose at a nearby hospital.

"It was tough for me," Springs said. "It brought back a lot of memories of coming to this stadium as a kid."

So yeah, I feel bad for him on a personal level. Besides, none of those touchdowns were his fault, they were the result of those young safeties being well out of position.

Just saw an interview with him here on local DC news. He clearly has a heavy heart right now, talked about how he grew up a Cowboys fan with Cowboys pajamas and how his dad was a true Cowboy, but then he blamed the loss on Sean Taylor's injury.

no he body slammed TO at the begining of the game for NO REASON...and because he was not a Cowboy a penalty was NOT called. That was the dumbest thing he could have ever done...he invited TO to violate him all game

I am all for football being a contact game but in that case the refs do need to be quicker getting the whistle blown.

This topic isn't worth its own thread, but that was the play TO got up and pushed back with the camera on him. I was sure TO was going to get a flag for that, and after Wade's tirade the week before, it was a really dumb thing for TO to do. We'd be reading about it all week.
