Buddy of mine and I are going to our second game (first was Seattle last year and I don't wanna talk about it) and first in Dallas. Any recommendations for fun stuff to do in the area? We're going through the Star sports tours so we have full days before and after but we get in Friday morning and wondering if it was worth hitting up six flags or a water park.

Rangers-Pirates the day after right across the parking lot. Six Flags if you like amusement parks.

Vancouver-FC Dallas if you're up for a drive to Frisco and you like soccer. Great venue. That's on Saturday, and you can go early and eat at one of the many restaurants there.

Pains me to say I had to give up my tickets. We moved across country to Washington State this year and it's gonna kill me not going to games. I'm still gonna try to go to the Thanksgiving day game though...I'll count it as a Mecca this time...Should be a fun road trip with the 7 year old son. 2400 Miles....give him his first taste of Vegas on the way back???? The wife might kill me...:)

Going to the Chiefs home opener (against Dallas), does that count?

Well Six Flags and the water park are right next to Cowboy's stadium so you could definitely do that.

Thanks guys. Never had chance to walk around that area so not sure how close everything is. I'm in Oregon but I remember Texas heat isn't that fun to walk in
