Want to see what all the fuss is about.

Thanks in advance.

Look in the news zone at harics post.

This becomes a self perpetuating cycle after a while. You sign a guy off the streets who was successful elsewhere, give him 2 days to work out his timing with the snapper and holder, then amazingly enough it looks like a train wreck, then you release him and bring in a new guy and give him 2 days to work out his timing, then he inevitably looks like a train wrek. Then you wonder why the guy you previously released is working out fine with some other team.

Just get a guy who has demonstrated he can be successful in the NFL and stick with him.

And replace McBriar as the holder.

I was just about to say there is only one thing in common with all these kickers....the holder

Why did we dump Hoffman? I have no memory of the reason.

Parcells dumped him. *Supposedly* he thought Hoffman was too cozy with the kickers, too much of a buffer... But then he hired him when he got to Miami. Go figure.

Actually Ireland hired him. But realistically this idea that Hoffman is some kind of genius is funny. The guy does well at finding cheap kickers who are decent. That is all.

Where's BBgun with the video ?

The Commanders were playing at the same time so he probably didn't see the Cowboy game.

I dont think McBriar is the problem.

Can anyone name any mistakes on his part?

Wade tried the holder route and looked like an idiot when they cut Folk.

It does make you wonder if he's doing something wrong.

On BTB they had a pretty good description;

With three seconds left, the guy who said something along the lines of 'if I wasn't the leader in the competition they wouldn't have brought me in' Dave Rayner misses a gimme from 36. Not just missed it, that's too kind of a word. I think he hit someone in the stands on the sidelines.

For that matter, the kickers apparently aren't the problem either. They all do great once they leave Dallas.

I will say Rayner's kicks last night could be explained by chemistry problems with the snap and hold. He's been kicking solidly with Detroit all training camp. He doesn't miss that badly last night without a technical glitch. That's why the Cowboys just need to pick a guy, preferably a guy who has shown he's done it before in the NFL, and go with it.

I'm just so ****ing tired of this team's ineptitude in an area that isn't that hard to fix.

When the Eagles drafted Henery there were plenty of jeers and smart aleck remarks but just watch now and envy later as this kid kicks *** and we plod on with whatever "lesser of five evils" kicker we end up with.

Don't get too attached to the two kickers we finally settle on. They surely won't be the last.
