CB radio?
LOL, earlier tonight in a fit of nostalgic stupidity. I was lurking around Amazon.com and bought a small cheap Midland 1001z CB with a antenna and cigerette plug adaptor.
I'm going to installit in my car next weekend.:)
Anyone have a SWR meter I can borrow?
:laugh1:

The CB radio is the best radar detedctor on the market. Them three-toothed chicken haulers (truckers) will tell you exactly what bush, ravine, hill and or mile marker the fuzz is hiding at.

I turn mine on but can't stomach a conversation.

We used to have CB radios in all of our trucks and cars, when I was growing up. Most of my family did. We all lived outside of town and it was easier to just grab the radio to talk to your cousin or friend up the road.

My handle was: Mr. Cool :laugh2: I was 6

A buddy and I used use to have one and always used to screw with drive-thrus. Our would over-power their wireless drive thru setups. People would pull up in the drive thru and you could hear the guys ask for their order. "Welcome to Taco Bell, can I take your order?" Before the person in the car could respond, we would say into the CB, "Yeah, I want a big mac with some fries and a large coke."

:laugh2:

I'm sorry sir, this is Taco Bell, not McDonalds.

So, shut your trap and go to McDonalds and get me a damn big mac!

Some exchanges were quite a bit more hostile. :laugh2:

Yeah we were into that stuff as well when I was a kid.

Only bad thing was that they had CB clubs in my neck of the woods back then.

That was a beating because it normally involved a bunch of country music playing in the background. :laugh2:

Oh...Koolaid Kid was the CB handle I was given.

LoL!! That song used to get me jazzed while riding on long drives with my family.

Ah, Rubber Duck to Sodbuster, come over. Yeah, 10-4, Sodbuster? Lissen, you wanna put that micro-bus in behind that suicide jockey? Yeah, he's haulin' dynamite, and he needs all the help he can get.

Well, we laid a strip for the Jersey shore
And prepared to cross the line
I could see the bridge was lined with bears
But I didn't have a do-goned dime.
I says, "Big Ben, this heres's the Rubber Duck.
We just ain't a-gonna pay no toll.
So we crashed the gate doing ninety-eight
I says "Let them truckers rollllll, 10-4" :laugh2:
