I'm pretty sure navigation would become even worse.

WV Cowboy, VA Cowboy (Jerry-hater), LT Fan, Ravi, Ben-in-Austin, MT Fan, lurker, RP/RS12/RXP, ninja, Cal CBFan, Doomsday101, TheFamily, were the mainstays. Probably forgetting a couple.
Single thread format, limited to like 100 characters per post, zero features, etc. No active moderation.
Was nevertheless a great place for a long time until a couple posters decided to ruin it (Diego & JEM) for fun...
ninja;4604018 said:Diego and JEM That brings back some memories. Actually, JEM was a poster here several years ago. I haven't seen him post here lately, though.
I remember Austin360 and the Star Boards. I used to lurk and post a little on them until Dale told me about this board (actually the old board). So he's too blame for me being here.
I got my start on boards/chatrooms in the mid 90's in the old NFL.com chatroom also know as "Hat Chat" because you could choose the helmet of your team as a sort of avatar when you logged in. It was a nice chatroom until people got stupid and it got shut down.
I don't understand what you mean? Downloading the anti-virus software on a system that already had a virus? I used to work for McAfee Anti-Virus around 1997. I remember the woes of viruses back then. They aren't the same as they are today. :laugh2: This whole thread is a wayback time machine for me! :laugh2:
Funny thing, I left Flash Net after they IPOed, I left McAfee after they merged with Network General. (both moves were horrible with horrible outcomes)
I will say this. Working for ISPs and Anti-Virus companies (and Microsoft for that matter), I learned a ton about not just how to protect a PC, but how to avoid getting viruses even without Anti-Virus installed. I think I've had one PC virus in my lifetime.
the first computer I worked on was an IBM main frame that was Huge with 9" floppy's and giant 850 bit memory cards
lol I couldn't ever imagine participating in a place like that.
