A bunch of my friends went paintballing the other day and absoultely loved it. We are all interested in buying our own equipment but we really dont know anything about it and where to get it.

Can anyone help me out of where to shop and what guns/supplies would be a good start? Budget would be less thatn $300 for now.

Thanks.

( Sorry if you dont want this posted here but I thought I could get some quick help and then we can delete it? Please  )

go to walmart

I was just checking them out online. I guess some generic Tippman wouldnt be bad? We're not gonna be joining any leagues (for now anwyay) so I guess this looks like the best to do.

Paintball is fun...if you are good and hiding and attacking. If you aren't, wait till one of those hit your at close range!! :shoot3:

tippman are solid guns they have been around since the beginnings. I was a competitive player ten years ago. Tippman are your best bet for a solid reliable gun in your price range. the rest of the stuff is just extra. I actually just found my mask and junk the other day

I saw they have handguns so I was thinking of carrying 2 at a time or is that too Cowboy-ish? I was only half serious thinking about this but I would be that guy who did it.

I will most likely end up getting a simple Tippman... not sure how all these upgrades work tho. New barrel or something can help the accuracy?

the pistol morons get hurt quicker than anything, I know I tried the same thing when I was first getting into it.
and ya new barrelwill increase the accuracy, get one with air ports to vent the gas coming out of the barrel other wise it plays hell on the ball as it leaves the gun.

Yep, what he said. I started off with the Tippman 98 w/ larger barrel. Excellent beginner gun.

What exactly is large? I have found 14 inches, seems to be the longest.

Thanks for all the information guys. As for those who said you can contact people, dont worry about it unless for some reason they coulld really hook me up. I think with enough time I can research where online is the most reliable and cheapest prices to buy from.

It looks like I will get the Tippmann 98 or custom with an upgrade barrl. If anyone can help me out with what barrel (as stated above) that would be great. I guess for accessories such as mask and CO2 tanks and w/e else I could handle.

Thanks again for the responses.
