Anyone interested in Joey Harrington?

Jerry Jones once said that he was the consensus second best player on the Cowboys board during that draft. Now, with the history of draft picks at that time, who knows what that means?

I actually feel bad for Harrington though. He got blamed for everything that happened up there, but I never thought he had much help. People talk about the young receivers he had, but they weren't ready. In fact, I read many reports of those players sleeping through film studies and other things...

I know that some fans like to quote former Dallas players like it's gospel. If so, Troy Aikman has repeatedly taken up for Joey. He has said several times that he thought he had the makings of a very good QB. Troy just thought he would have to do it somewhere other than Detroit.

Can anyone remember anything Bill said about him when Dallas played them?

I would, but I'll be in the minority. I'd say he probably ends up in the Bay area with either San Fran or Oakland.

I really wouldn't mind signing Joey Harrington but I rather take a chance on Aaron Brooks first....

why not....It's not like were loaded at QB with talent or expierence.

Well Joey does provide the experience part.

And remeber, experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.

I doubt he ends up with either of those teams...both teams are going to throw the ball down the field, Harrington has a rag arm and is inaccurate as hell on anything over 10 yds...

I think they guy has talent but has been on a lousy team. I'm on the fence about him.
Me 2 until I flash back and remember how much air is under his ball when throwing a deep out, lol.

He kinda reminds me of Steve Young way back before he became good with SF. Nobody really wanted Young but SF saw something and they signed him. If the price is right, I might look at bringing him in. He's got experience in the NFL which is way more then anybody else we have behind Bledsoe. If the price is right, why not?

Steve Young was like Joey Harrington? please

and SF didnt "sign" him, they traded for him...alot of people probably wanted him...Tampa Bay didnt give him away for free

Joey Harrington BLOWS. Between this Harrington talk and all the TO talk, it really makes me wonder how many people here actually watch football, and how many just talk a bad game.

When Young left Tampa after 2 years, he had thrown only 11 TD's against 21 INT's, and had a QB rating in the low 60's.

doesnt the minority have to be more than one?

doesnt mean he looked like a total waste of time scrub like Harrington has though...Young had a good arm and could throw with accuracy, in addition to his great mobility and run skills

that Tampa team Young was on was also ALOT worse than the Detroit team Harrington has been on

you dont have to be a football scout to watch Harrington throw in games and come to the conclusion that he just flat out sux...guy cant hit the broad side of a barn door most weeks, and he has a rag arm

David, pull your head out. Steve Young was a great deal worse then Harrington in Tampa because Tampa was a great deal worse. All I'm saying is that this was the same type of talk that surrounded Young before he signed with SF. Sometimes, a change is all a player needs.
