... to Caron Butler?

Yes...

Tony Romo.

Very impressive. I didn't know he was THAT good at basketball!

Go wizards!

I'd like to see him play in a pick-up game or something, just to see his game.

I'd heard and read that before.

Romo's rep has always been about what a good athlete he was and how great a competitor he is. Honestly, give me that in 53 players, and I'll win a bunch of games. That's easily my favorite thing about him...

That is precisely why I was more encouraged after the Giants loss when Romo came in at halftime, and it's why I was encouraged even during the Saints blowout. Romo wouldn't stop trying. The picks didn't even faze me because you could tell he was more worried about trying to score and come back than he was about his QB rating.

Butler was very complimentary of Romo. Butler said, " I thought he was going pro in basketball. He was that good."

And least we forget, the guy is a good golfer. I think his golfing experience helps him at QB. Golfers have to focus on each shot and know when to go for it and when to lay up. And any golfer on this this board will agree with this, golf matches are won on Sunday during the back nine. I think that's why Romo is so good in the fourth quarter.

He should've. Basketball players make WAY more money than football players do.

In general, yes. But, the type of b-ball player he would have been (look at him, at best, could he be Nash?) compared to the type of QB he could be, for America's team....that's big money, and huge endorsement's he wouldn't get as a "guy" playing the point for the Trail Blazers.

But nothing compares to playing QB for America's Team!!!!!!!!!:)

Plus, I just get the feeling Romo is doing what God intended for him to be. A QB. No pun intended, but the guy appears to be a natural at QB.

Yeah i think he's gonna make quite of bit of money cause of that as well :D

The guy is just an athletic person that has great hand/eye coordination. Props to Romo!

lmao I am proud to have tony leading our team he is a natural athlete with the love of competition, this kid may just be our next legend. The first one younger than me, I wish him the world. What an odd perspective age brings...

Who was it.....Vermiel and Gumball? I dunno, Gumball was one of them and they said Tony told them that basketball was his best sport.....

Gumball called his bluff and mentioned tony being a 1 hadicap.

Nerves of steel to the outsider.
Except to him, and others successful at things like that, the concept of "nerves" never enters his mind.

Considering the current circumstances, there is no doubt in my mind Romo will make more money in football than he wouldve as a short white guy in the NBA...or more likely, the NBA D-League.

I want to see his "jumpshot" next time we play the giants and he makes a touchdown. :lmao2:

Where was there a pun in that sentence?

yeah, I'm sure you wish Romo chose basketball instead

I know I would, if my team had to face him twice a year :D

Realistically though......how many MILLIONS does one person need?

I have a hunch that Romo will do just fine when it comes to getting enough money to pay rent.....

I am a wizards and Cowboys fan too, Arenas had another great night.

And oh yeah, I did see the part when Butler said that he always thought Romo would go to the NBA, This is crazy. That just made me think, whatever it was, the thing that made Romo pick football and go to a no-name school to become the starter for America's Team. Or he could be playing for the Mavericks, I mean it is crazy. Fortunetly for us he chose football.
