Anyone know anything about Mike Gandy?

Arizona just put him on IR for hernia surgery. He's played 31 straight games at LT for them.

6'4", 316 pounds, but he's already 30 years old. Unrestricted free agent at the end of this season.

Anyone know how well he does at his job? Sacks allowed? Runs to his side?

No, it isn't but when you don't have an immediate replacement on hand its the only solution. Besides, we've got 3 of our 5 starters via FA so far. Not to mention next year is going to be uncapped.

Your right about the current makeup and uncapped year, but I still think the best thing for any franchise is to build the foundation with young talent from the draft. If we were just one player away, then FA might be the ticket.

Our entire OL is getting very old. Free (age 25) is the only young guy who has shown he can play. Adams is 34, all others 31....and aging... Hopefully P. McQuistan can play (26, another young guy).

He'd be a good stop gap if we can't get who we want. Less penalties than Flozell, but may give up a few more sacks. WASH. He grew up playing in Garland, and lives in the area, so I imagine he'd play for a little less.
