Depends on what you consider a reasonable price. Any of the "franchise" type services will be no less than $85-$100 a visit in my experience.

I've always just used word-of-mouth, my HOA newsletter or referrals from friends at church to find my "private" cleaning ladies and never paid less than $75 for bi-weekly cleaning on a 4 BR, 2800 SF house.

That would be what I'd consider reasonable. The SF is about that size, as well.

I'd also understand if there was a first-time fee...and then a regular maintenance fee.

I tried a "Merry Maids" type franchise, and that's what they hit me with, the FTF deal. It was like $120 and change, then roughly $90 per "regular" cleaning there after.

Problem was, the FTF cleaning was almost an indeterminable difference than the regular cleaning, especially when you consider they were here for no more than 15-20 mins more on the FTF deal than they were for the regular cleaning the next 2 times they came.

I cut them loose after the 3rd visit.
