My friend and I were thinking about heading up to New York to watch the NFL Draft in person this year, but it would be our first time doing so. I was wondering if anyone is planning on attending it this year for those who have, if they can answer some questions.

1. How do you get tickets to the NFL Draft? Do you just wait outside the big lines at the Radio City Music Hall and they let you in for free?

2. How early would you have to be at the Music City Hall to wait in the lines?

Thanks!

:welcome:

You're going to be waiting a long time since we don't pick until Round 2, 51st spot!

But I'd bet it would be a great experience.

I think you basically have to wait in line, but I'm not 100% sure.

:welcome: to the CowboyZone!!!!!!!!

Sadly, I'm stuck in front of the computer and TV all weekend.

Big Dog, I'm already planning my menu for the Draft.

This is one of my favorites events of the year.

This is what i remember about the nfl draft;

you have to get there way early to be in line to get some really good seats.

you might get lucky and win this years www.nfl.com sweepstakes contest, you can go to the nfl . com website and enter, if you win you get a package sponsored by monster.com to announce a pick, one of your frends gets to go with another person and take the card up to the podioum, you get a vip pass etc tooo.

but main thing you want to get there early if you want a good seat.

I've read on another forum that you should get there at 4am or just stay overnight. I really hope they move the draft to different venues. It would be nice to have it here in FL.

yes i heard you want to get there alittle after midnight if you want really good seats at the nfl draft headquarters

they are seriously talking about moving the NFL Draft around, but the NFL commissioner the other day said that he felt New York was a fixture for the NFL draft. The dummy, just like the NFL draft is a fixture for in New York, so is the thanksgiving game in Dallas every year.

True, but I don't think we're going to move up anywhere close to the end of Round 1.

Maybe we move up a few spots though.

Kind of like the Pro Bowl is a fixture in Hawaii, but he pulled out as soon as he could. I would like to hear other fans cheer/boo their picks besides Giants, Jets, and Eagles fans.

1 - Keep dreaming about them moving the draft.

2 - Way back I used to get there about midnight or earlier to get in line.
That was at the Marriot Marquis and the Garden. Ended up 3rd in line one year. Have fun with it.
I do not know the policy now at the Raido City Music Hall.

I went with Hos three years ago. I got the tickets from a ticket broker. The NFL does a first class job.

The lines outside were VERY long.

Is it in the building King Kong climbed? :D

I live in NY City and it's never really been a big deal around here, there's no "draft athmosphere" to speak of. I could go, but I hate lines and I would rather watch it at home with some buddies and chat about the picks with you guys comfortably.

The long lines aren't the best memory from that trip are they?
